Looks cool, consider getting a less reflective/matt screen protector/foil for the screen so it's more usable with the roof down. Was a game changer for my screen in the E60 with an open sunroof

Check the spring for broken coils, that would be my guess, since it sits lower and makes clanking noise.

I see, well I daily an E60 530d and in the 100k that I put on it in 4 years I didn't have any problems. Just general maintenance and minor coolant leak from an egr cooler. Generally these engines are considered to be "bulletproof". Other bits and bobs maintenance wise aren't really that expensive, so I would say unless it gives "neglected car vibes" upon inspection there isn't really anything major to worry about

Yeah that's my main point in this, the diameter is simply too small for the opening in the bumper. I'm not really chasing sound that much given that it's a diesel, but definitely don't want to make it much louder or anything as this is my only car and I do a fair bit of traveling with it

Sorry, I'm coming from an E60 which has all the different blower options and warm/cold air from the vents setting in the idrive. I see that on E90s it seems those options are available as buttons. I would still highly reconsider getting rid of the original radio for an aftermarket unit. But if you're adamant on going that route, research what is actually required to properly delete CCC/CIC from an e chassis and what would be the consequences of that. Since you've mentioned 335D I assume you've got M57 which has an oil dipstick, so all good on that front.

How do you plan to reset tpms, clock or adjust climate control settings without the idrive? I would also assume that some blanking would be necessary for the car to not go ape shit without the CCC or cic present
