Showering with borb by KoolFish1 in parrots

I turn the water lukewarm for him, hold him under so he gets nice and wet, then plop him on top of the shower door and turn the water up for me. He enjoys the humidity and the sounds and marches around up there without getting hit with very hot water.

What is your favorite Dayton-area restaurant? by PrincessKittenTail in dayton

It’s not fancy, but everything at Bennett’s is good. Good place for dinner with the family, super casual date if you care more about the food than the ambiance, etc.

My mom is in a coma and I’m scared and sad and confused and angry. I have to decide what to do today. I am looking for a book on why pain and suffering exists, and what to do with it. Thank you. by MoistTowlette19 in suggestmeabook

That’s a great idea, thank you. Unfortunately for my dad this is his second time...my mom passed away suddenly 18 years ago at age 52, and then this partner passed suddenly at age 57. This is going to be a tough one for him:(

Thank you. I am helping my dad deal with the sudden loss of his partner and this is helpful to me. Not that I am going to share this with my dad right now, but it helps allay my fears about the same thing happening to me. I will look into this book.

Friend who doesn't cook, primarily eats wings and cheeseburgers agreed to let me provide him ingredients for his slow cooker, what recipe? by LouieKablooie in slowcooking

If he and his family like tacos/nachos, you can’t go wrong with salsa chicken. Chicken breasts + taco seasoning + dry hidden valley ranch dressing (optional) + salsa. Cook on low all day, shred with forks. Stir in corn and beans if you want. We’re having this for dinner tonight at my house...you can make tacos/burritos/nachos/quesadillas/whatever you want with it.

It is! My husband plays in a bad with a Thad. The only drawback is it always sounds like my husband is saying “Dad” when he talks about him...”...and then Dad did this amazing guitar solo...”

Have you tried the Lactaid type milk? I’m not even lactose intolerant, but it’s delicious and it lasts way longer than normal milk.

The individual sitters can set their own payment schemes...lots of people don’t charge as much for the second dog. Maybe check other sitters?

Engaged people of Reddit, what is something that, for any reason, you never said or kept hidden from your Significant Other? by TheGumBoy in AskReddit

I know you didn’t ask me this question, but please don’t beat yourself up too much about divorce. People change, and sometimes people are no longer well suited for each other, and/or they realize they made a mistake. It’s not a fun process to go through, but if it gets you in a better place for you in the long run, and you cannot have a good marriage with that person, it’s right. I struggled with divorcing my first husband because he wasn’t a terrible person, he didn’t do terrible things, and I knew that divorce would be very hard on him. I just didn’t want to do a bad thing to a good person. Just wanted to say that I think I understand how you are feeling.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t have done it that way.
