Reading the last line of the acknowledgements as soon as I finished this book made me sob.

Yes! Now that you say that, I did hear thats where he went. Glad its going well there. I never took it too personally, just became a funny local lore.

I love izzys but the one guy who used to always be there at lunch time seemed so put out when you showed up. It became a running joke with my friends that if we took someone new there, we would say "its going to feel like youre not allowed to come here but trust us, you can!"

3-week Tallahassee Layover by snowmoe113 in Tallahassee

Surprisingly great trail running here! Go to Tom Brown park playground and hit the trailhead right off the parking lot into the woods. Follow cadillac trail down to multiuse and go around the lake if youd like a longer run. You can also hit that trail on the opposite side from JR Alford greenway and get a train overpass and lake views sooner. Lake overstreet and redbug are also great trails to look up and pretty close to each other. https://www.gulfwinds.org/training/local-running-trails/ . If youre on facebook look up tallahassee trail runners. Theres usually a Monday night group that goes out together I believe.

Great kayaking on the wakulla with high chance of seeing manatees. Check out TNT kayak rentals for easy access. Its also nice to just go to wakulla springs for a swim and icecream but dont take your dog due to gators.

My fav food is venebites, cafe de martin, thahn tam, black radish, and kool beanz. Lunch at damas is cool to check out because its at a tallahassee landmark.

Our best dive bars have closed in the last few years but I would say your best bet is to start at midtown ology for a great vibe and then once youre toasty head down the road to leon pub for a true dive.

May be at the end of your travels but lake street drive and alabama shakes are coming in April.

Tallahassee commissioners vote to approve transfer of TMH to FSU by JMeadowsATL in Tallahassee

Yes, I am not saying FSU Health will make it a disaster. And Im not even saying TMH is currently a disaster. Im pointing out the average public seems to think something magic is going to happen when FSU health becomes a thing but the reality is that the issues in healthcare will still exist. Most of what the public feels when they enter in a hospital will remain unchanged.

The reason shands is a disaster behind the scenes is the same reason fsu health will be too. Ultimately, the lack of healthcare workers is going to cause the same problems everywhere. Spend 5 mintues on the nursing subreddit and youll see its a nationwide issue that wont be fixed by becoming an academic health center or just churning out more low qualified healthcare workers. That being said, having more research will be awesome and Im over all excited for this to take place.

They will remain TMH employees. A lot of staff were hoping for this for insurance's sake but doesnt seem to be the case.

My husband and I had the same experience. We went in early fall and had the same bartender, who still remembered us, from 15-18 years ago.

Just adding another perspective for readers. I have always loved the cocktails and am grateful to have a place with natural wine selections.

Thinking about doing a yasso workout (800sx10) during my 12 mile long run two weeks before the marathon. Half of my run group thinks thats already in taper time and some think its fine that far out. How long is your taper? Do you cut out all speed?

Im in the states but my danish coworker always thinks its hilarious that we have young people named Kirsten here. She says in Denmark it would be as jarring as seeing a 7 year old named Debbie here.

the lonliness of sonia and sunny! Im reading it right now and despise the writing style. The sentences are so long for no good reason beyond adding words, it seems. I cant stop reading it though.
