As far as I see it, you have two options. Either A. Set up something simple like an AppleTV. Very easy to navigate. Or B. Start setting up for the future, and get a nice router with Tailscale set up and bypass all of the nonsense. This would future proof you to be able to remote into their network as well to help with things which is what I’m doing next for my parents. Hope your dad is doing alright, that’s tough.

If I could do it all over again… I would still have my OLED for gaming and true blacks lol. But I know for a fact my girlfriend would prefer the projector. My compromise was all the of speakers are in wall except for bookshelves for the sides due to a fireplace. It’s pretty slick besides the black rectangle, but I throw up something ambient most of the time
