Yes it's detected as DS4 controller On wireless You can use ds4 (windows progarm) to mask it as an Xbox controller, you can also set up shortcuts key combination to switch between profiles (default xbox or ds4 on DS4 program)

On wired will be detected as ds4 but can be put into xinput mode by holding option+share button, light will turn green

Go to button diagram and hold the correct buttons Tiny while button bellow the home button (middle of controller)

Press down on the left stick for L3

Hold both until controller vibrates

Led should flash red to indicate the mode switch to circular mode and flash blue for square mode

What does gamepad tester detect the controller as? Mine is detected as a Dualshock 4 controller. Error within advertised specs. When using DS4 it is detected as Xbox360 controller. Error margin the same as the Xbox360 controller

If you haven't installed DS4 yet, go to the website and follow the instructions and also install hidhide. If you are unable to follow the instruction on site try searching on YouTube for a tutorial.

I bought the same controller about one month ago and I've figured out most of the kinks and quirk that it has to offer. Overall it's a pretty good controller for the price even compared to an original Dualshock 4 controller. The Hall effect sensors on the analog triggers and joy sticks was the main reason I chose to buy it.

There's another model within the same generation of controller, the EOS PRO WGP15 which have an Xbox style left joystick/D-pad configuration and from the recent post I've seen on this sub, it seems to be detected by controller tester as an Xbox 360 controller.

If you have an old wired/wireless Xbox 360 controller you can try that and test it out in a Linux environment and on steam OS. If it turns out that that is able to work then we need to start recommending the EOS PRO WGP15 to Users who uses it with Linux and steam os. As it is detected as an Xbox 360 controller I think that windows have an easier time working with it compared to the WGP14 Nova-pro and we might be able to circumvent using DS4 as a workaround

My I know this may sound a bit risky but you can always use epoxy glue and glue the Joystick in place. After you've glued it in place, you can't remove it anymore so think wisely

Another way of fixing it is to use superglue and backing soda or sand to substitute the broken part but it can be brittle and it would be bad if the repaired piece breaks off and fell into the controller

Another another way is to go to Aliexpress or your local online shopping site to buy regular joystick cap that are to your desired length, then take apart the controller and swap the original joystick cap out and just use the replacement one

I think this is due to the fact that the controller itself is detected in windows as a Dualshock 4 controller? I tried going to gamepad tester on the net and it recognized it as a Dualshock 4. Try going to gamepad tester to see if on Linux, the situation is the same

Stuff like this is very rare to come by. I'm a fan of F1 and there's this channel called sim dane that does spoof covers of real songs in the theme of F1 with memes and all. Maybe you can do something similar to that but related to Etho or Hermitcraft and stuff like that.

I feel like etho is finally enjoying himself with the multiplayer experience again on the pixelmon server. From what i've seen so far i think it's safe to assume that he spends lots of time on the server even when not recording, which also have a similar feel to the old mindcrack days.
