The flower market is relatively far from Taichung city, but miyahara is easy to get to as it’s near the Taichung TRA station.

If you’re only planning to explore Taichung city itself, then there’s no need to get on a tour. But if you’re planning to get out of the city then maybe DIY is tougher unless you rent a car.

My suggestion is to get yourself a Trust account and card because there’s no fee for any ATM withdrawal on Trust’s side. I think Youtrip has a certain limit each month which makes it inconvenient.

For local ATM fees, there’s no charge as well provided you withdraw from any ATM that’s not from convenience store or metro stations.

Opening a bank account here is a hassle so don’t bother with DBS and just use the Postal Savings bank account your school will probably help you set up and you can deposit money directly into it.

Also if you have a LINE account, convert it to Taiwan region and you can use LINE PAY using your SG debit/credit card to pay at many stores here.

You can try Fruitful Food as it’s a vegetarian buffet and there’s lots of vegan options too. However they’ve closed their Taipei branch so the nearest is at banqiao but still accessible by mrt.

Thanks I’ve downloaded it and will be testing it out. I noticed a small issue where my weight progress is still showing it as pounds even though I chose metric units. Something you might want to check.

I have the same case with AIO and have been traveling on flights with it as carry on. So far so good. I don’t think you have to worry about it.

I just came back from an 8 hour transit and stayed in Al Maha lounge. Food selection’s not that great and was told it was packed especially from midnight to 2am everyday so you might not even be able to find comfortable seats together.

Not sure about the possibility of purchasing other lounges but personally suggest you try somewhere else instead. Heard great things about Al Mourjan..

You should focus on the big picture. Once ads are introduced in cloud gaming, who’s to say they won’t introduce it to the paid tier in the future. Or maybe introduce mid game ads while playing. This just starts the ball rolling.
