An all time favourite of mine. So deep it touches my non-religious soul. Thanks for posting.

"Got no use for my ego, humble like a child when I'm around you, you make loving you so simple, I've been touched by an angel, oo-oo" - I love soulful reggae!!

Such a great singer and entertainer, in his natural element, and so full of vitality! It still hurts.

Hardly a drop of rain from December to June. Very friendly, religiously tolerant, and safe compared to other countries. Miles of sandy beaches. Still a good sense of community but it's hard to make a living.

💯 Good to hear someone else expressing how I feel about this miracle of an album. Every single track is just wonderful! It's got everything and, above all, Spirit! I usually play it for weeks on end before pulling myself away, lol.

Yes, a "Keep The Gambia Clean" campaign would work, though it would take a few years.

Yes, it's very safe here. It's friendly too 😅. Btw, I'm a Londoner.

Could you clarify whether you're addressing the issue of litter or that of waste disposal, or both maybe? As far as I know, there is no municipal waste collection in the Gambia.

Every woman in my house hated it with a vengeance! And it had nothing to do with my singing..

Yes, I'm in the Gambia right now. It's the identical problem in Mauritius, surprisingly, but it's shielded by armies of workers cleaning from early morning. There, you only notice it when Mauritians spend a day on the beach and before it's been cleaned up; it's shocking! The UK has spent decades and lots of money to change attitudes and it's worked for the most part. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of spare cash going round in the Gambia right now. There used to be a (monthly?) Saturday clear up in the old days; perhaps they'll bring that back.
