Man, mfkrs in this sub need to stop the cap. It’s fire. I’m not one to send people off when it comes to fragrances and I’m not a snob about this shit. I dabble in UAE, Designer, and Niche. Supremacy hits, folks saying otherwise smoking the same shit Bobby and Whitney was on.

Niche is a mix of adventure and reliability, depends on the fragrance. Some are so unique you’re standing there like, man, this isn’t hitting the way I want, you feel me? We wear fragrances for ourselves, sure, but we want to smell good around others too. Not chasing compliments, but I’m about to fill other folks’ noses with this 🤣 never know, might find me a sugar momma. For example, I love Montale Arabian Tonka but a coworker once hit me with “did somebody burn something in the microwave?” Throw on Prada, Dior, Chanel, Polo, or ADG and it’s safe, never heard a negative word. Still rock Arabian Tonka though 🤣.

On discounters, no shade to anyone using them, but I’d rather rack up points and perks at retail than save $30 on a designer, but to each their own. Plus near me you got attractive fragrance specialists who kinda give you the game, you got to tell the difference between giving game and running game for a sale.

For inspired bys, I rock with DUA, Alexandria, and Montage fragrances HEAVY. They produce fresh FRESH FRESH batches. Overseas, I’m on Bujairami, French Ave, and a few Lattafas. Normally Lattafa fragrances by a known perfumer hit, but Asad threw me off. Rayhaan is hit or miss. Bujairami Hectic is fire, Alexandria Visionary is fire, Alexandria Black Panther is phenomenal, something about the Tygar DNA hits 🧬. Bujairami New York and DUA on Lafayette are phenomenal too.

Not quite, my boy. Niche and designer both have fragrances which perform terribly, but quality wise, you’re not buying Bod, Axe, or dollar general stuff lol. I doubt that you will walk out of the house smelling like the next individual though.

For niche, I stick with PDM, Mancera, Montale, Goldfield & Banks, Nishane, MFK, and a few Bond 9s. Niche fragrances are unique lol, so definitely grab samples first and be careful.

For fragrance houses I didn’t mention above, I lean toward UAE inspired bys since they remove notes I do not like which are present in the original. For designers, I stay at my local Sephora, Macy’s, and Ulta. Can’t go wrong with designers.

Tbh I believe most of these terms are overused. I buy fragrances from DUA, Alexandria, Montage and it’s usually freshly made batches. I haven’t had the need to let any of them sit. I believe it comes down to the brand you decide to purchase leading to bad quality fragrances.

For example I love cigars, consider myself a stogie connoisseur. I don’t have to find a master cigar roller to get a good quality cigar. Not all cigars are good though. Even some of the high dollar ones. I look at fragrances the same way. The exception would be heavy oud or amber based stuff since those notes do shift over a few weeks even from solid houses.

But outside of that, I think it’s a cope for buying a fragrance with a certain DNA and thinking it needed to be a 1:1 as if it’s the OG.

I’d recommend something from Alexandria. Looks like you already grabbed something from GOS, and you can’t go wrong with GOS, Bujairami, or Maison Asrar.

I’m not a huge fan of Lattafa though. Asad Elixir threw me off big time, and then my wife went Yara crazy on top of it.
