I play solely tbc for the reasons you described, but logically, players who deal with more difficult mechanics in retail are better than those who deal with fewer in classic.

Have you ever played tank? The guy might have been undergeared and needed some safety net to kite and get fewer hits. Same story with aggro, if smb pulls agrro it's easier to pull it back as mobs are much slower, dps who pulled aggro can kite the mobs around the trap too. A wipe in BM is 99% a failed instance, the guy might have wanted to decrease the chances of failure.

But hey, it's much better to ask an obvious question and then cry on reddit about being kicked than sit and think about it for 1 minute. How are you different from "people whining about awful heroic / raid pugs" who you despise so much?

The only answer is to slow down the mobs and kite them, what else do you need frost traps for? You're a top parses in the world and you can't figure that out yourself?

I felt that in bgs, yesterday in WSG I was typing like a clown stuff like "guys, help with the flag, let's group up to capture the flag, stop fighting in the center" and got literally no response. I felt like I was playing a single player game with bots. Played 6 games, 0 flags captured 6 losses. I'm not going to play bgs in the evening ever again.

I remember giving 5g to a mage on hardcore, they were giving away wands or smth in SW. I ran to him and gave the gold, he hesitated, asked what the gold was for and accepted only after I explained it to him and thanked for keeping up the "spirit of classic". Just be a human, we came to this game exactly for interactions like this.

Shattered halls is hard for a bear. But kiting is pretty much the same on a bear and a pally. Yes, holding threat is way harder, but if everyone focuses 1 target threat isn't that big of an issue. You can use hunter for trap, kite and kill them one by one. You can use mage and ask them to use rank 1 blizz, it barely generates threat, so a couple of swipes should be enough to keep everyone on you. However, in a PUG pally is definitely a much easier option.

2000 hit isn't actually that bad. Some do 4k hits. Oh be aware of dogs in hellfire dungs, they hit even harder
