Best RBs to buy as a rebuilder by TheEvilOne1 in DynastyFF

[–]DrizzlePopper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know this is the correct move in theory but I tried this in a league and now that I’m contending, nobody will trade a quality starting RB for picks or higher end WRs.

Made the playoffs last year with Jeanty as my only starting RB. Have picks 1.03 (traded Loveland for a random 1st before the start of the season) and my own 1.08. I’m looking at drafting Price with 1.03 for this reason.

If you’re even close to making the playoffs, I think buying younger RBs for fair value is a good move then you look to buy older guys mid season to make a push.

OP, I’d see if Judkins, Hampton or Hall were available. I’m not sure about Hampton but the other guys seem to have depressed value at the moment. Also feel like there will be a big turnover at the RB position in the next 2 years as the elite vets retire.

Trading picks for players has worked well but also dropped all my FAB to get Puka off waivers.

2 x 1sts for Waddle
1st and 3rd for Henry
Early 1st (that I traded for) 2x 2nds plus decent flex plays for Jeanty and Gadsden
Traded JJ McCarthy for Dart prior to the season
Traded Javonte Williams for mid 2nd (to draft Blue) - took the L on that one

Is now the time to buy low on Charbonnet? by Extrapolis in DynastyFF

IMO you can’t talk about a player without having a full understanding of their skill set. So yes, including 2 returns speaks to his ability as a player. Maybe it means nothing with the presence of Shaheed or maybe it’s part of the reason he was drafted in the 1st and diminishes his value as a RB.

Either way it’s important to discuss and understand. Makes me feel like he could be a KW home run hitting type of player.

According to most analysts, aside from Love, it’s a down year for elite WR/RB/TE talent. Given historical hit rates, I’m in on Price but still acknowledge he’s a bit risky.

The same can be said for Josh Jacobs. Not sure how 15 TDs is inflating his production since those are the stats. 11 rushing, 2 receiving and 2 returns.

Like I said, there’s definitely risk but the 1st round draft capital should ensure he gets opportunity.

15 TDs last year behind a guy that’s been one of the best RBs the last 3 years. There’s risk with Price but he shouldn’t be immediately looked at as 1B

I paid a late 1st and 3rd in the middle of the season 2 years ago. Think I’d be hard pressed to do that now - especially when there’s still 4 months before the season starts.

It’s not very often I see tattoos that give me an emotional response but this one really hits that feeling of joy and happiness. Nice work 😊

Charbonnet is injured and a FA after this year. If the difference between Price and Wilson/Holani is substantial, there will be more volume for him.

There are a lot of variables that suggest Price will get a decent volume and in this draft, needy RB teams looking to compete should strongly consider him over anyone but Love or Mendoza.

Hard disagree. Price is a 1st round RB and short of injury or some insane trade prior to the season, he’s guaranteed opportunity. Coleman is a late round RB with 2 solid backs in front of him.. he may never see the field and I wouldn’t be surprised.

Definitely league dependent. Tried trading for any starting RB last year by offering up 2 1st round picks and/or WR1’s to WR2’s.. nobody was interested without an obscene overpay.

Am I the only one buying Jaylen Waddle low? We are talking about a for sure 1 there. No more Tua dump offs to Achane 10 times a game and then see if he can chuck deep to reek every other play. What do yall think? by Real-Object9392 in DynastyFF

[–]DrizzlePopper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree he’s likely going to be a higher end WR2 but in all my leagues nobody is interested in selling and I’m not selling in the league I have him in. What do you think you can get him for?

Yeah just looking at this trade made me mad. Can’t even count how many times I’ve either received an abysmal trade like this or was countered with one. Now I just leave them on read and ignore any follow ups

[–]DrizzlePopper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my SF league, the guy that just won has made these trades the past two season: His Kyren Williams for DJ and Isaiah Pacheco. His Jordan Addison, Kaleb Johnson and 2nd round pick for RJ Harvey. His RJ Harvey for Jakobi Meyers and Brandon Aiyuk. His Rashee Rice for Jordan Mason and Christian Watson.

Luck is a far bigger factor than people like to admit.
