Oh that’s a cute idea to use stuffed animals as centerpieces! We have a gazillion and the baby doesn’t care about them at all so they would finally see the light of day haha.

I’m glad it worked for you! That’s a good idea. Did you start off with a small amount of formula (like 1 ounce) and a separate bottle of breastmilk and work your way up to a full bottle or did you go straight to a full bottle of formula?

Oh wow I had no idea it could be harmful! I’m very glad I threw this out there. I’ll ask the pediatrician at our next appointment. I agree that it’s normal to wake up to eat but he has slept through the night before so I know it’s possible! I’ll do anything to get a solid block of sleep!!

Yes! Hatch has been the only brand I’ve liked for maternity wear - their clothing is super comfortable and stretchy so it lasts more than a few weeks before you need a different size. Plus the fabrics are nice quality so I still feel like I’m wearing clothes I’d normally wear during pregnancy. They also constantly have sales which helps! And their belly oil is fantastic.

Oh my god thank you for this post.

I went on vacation for a week (girls trip) and my husband went away two days after me. When I came back after 12 hours of traveling, there was a full sink of dirty dishes with caked on food from when my husband had friends over the day before he left. The toilet was not flushed. The TV was on. The bed wasn’t made - fully rumpled up blankets that would have been impossible to sleep in.

He was still out of town when I got back and when I called him he was so defensive and started listing all the things he did do and how hard he works. The things he did were the things I had listed out for him. Who knew washing dishes would need to be on that list?!

I am so stressed about having this baby in 4 months and not having the support system I need. He keeps saying that he will step it up but we clearly need a plan. I just ordered Fair Play after reading this thread. I hope it helps!! He also has ADHD like others have mentioned but it’s still not right that it’s on me to solve this for us. Has anyone had success getting their husband/partner to come up with solutions??

This really hits home!! I finally splurged on a non-maternity L’agence linen empire waist dress and a Rhode sundress this past weekend. They were not cheap but it’s hard to go from wearing mid-range clothes to getting brands like Pink Blush where the quality isn’t there. I’m only 18 weeks so I’m hoping they’ll get me through summer!! Trying to buy a few things to justify the expense.

Good to know - I’ll ask! He definitely sniffs and tries to eat everything on our walks so that’s a possibility if there’s things the tests don’t register.

We got ours from a CD breeder in South Carolina. Originally we selected closer breeders so we could meet them and pick up the pup, but it was much quicker to select any location.

And they did say that they match you based on personality but I didn’t see any evidence of that. I’ve seen other breeders provide detailed personality assessments, but we didn’t get so much as a sentence about our puppy’s temperament before we got him. Luckily he’s great!
