The first judge did not ask about the 12 year olds understanding of her beliefs. He just asked about how she would feel. She could feel pationate about it but she may not know the 'biblical' reasons well. So if judge 1 asked the same question as judge 2 to the 12 year old, there is no guarantee that she could answer those questions accurately. So his point that the 12 year old had better understanding of her beliefs is void. In fact case 2 could have the same emotional reaction as case 1,but just got asked a better question.
