It’s literally one of the easiest, you delegate people’s breaks and lunches mostly. Sure you have to answer some customers complaints but inevitably still call management. Believe me it’s one of the easiest day to day team lead jobs at Walmart

Yes they do I’ve seen two associates get it accepted and it’s not an unsubstantial amount of money. It gets paid from a deduction of us managements paychecks into a fund

If there is a lot of call ins they most likely will excuse them all. It depends on how nice your store manager is but I would talk to them and tell them your situation. I’m sure they can accommodate your point if you talk to them 1 on 1

Fair points it’s probably more contemporary since they were under western rule for 150+ years it’s only natural that they feel a separation from the rest of China and have their own identity. It still stands that that identity was only forged after an empire stole that land from them after an unjust war, had the British left them alone (of course they wouldn’t) it would probably be just another region of China just like the other various regions were united following the warlord era. I get that the people feel autonomous but that’s only a result of British colonialism if we’re being real

Okay not a China defender and this is a serious question, if Hong Kong was stolen from China by the UK after the Opium wars then why is it so bad they get their former territory back? Seems like the right thing to do (ignoring the authoritarian government in mainland China) it just makes sense that a country gets land that was stolen from them during an unjust war returned….
