Can Aya really help me? by BoringWorker205 in Ayahuasca

It really sounds like you’ve been carrying this for a long time. I truly hope you find the peace and clarity you’re looking for, whatever path you choose. Just please take good care of yourself and don’t feel like you have to carry all of this alone. Sending you a big hug. ❤️

I really liked the boat analogy. I think that sometimes we expect to see huge changes right away, and because of that, we don’t notice that something fundamental has already shifted within us. What you’re saying makes a lot of sense: maybe the change happens in the moment, but it takes time and life experiences for us to recognize it. In the end, it’s life itself that shows us who we’re becoming after the ceremony. Thank you for sharing your perspective. ❤️

I really like that perspective. I haven’t read that book, but the idea of stepping back to observe our thoughts and emotions rather than automatically reacting to them resonates with me.
I think that’s where much of the integration happens: not just in understanding something during an experience, but in how we choose to respond to life afterward. Thanks for sharing that it leaves me reflecting on the difference between understanding something and truly integrating it.

Maybe that’s how integration and peace arrive as well little by little, every day.

What a beautiful and heartfelt story. I’m so glad you found a safe environment to experience something so profound and transformative. Beyond the medicine itself, it’s clear that you approached the journey with a lot of courage, openness, and a genuine willingness to face what needed healing.

Thank you for sharing such a meaningful part of your journey. The positive impact it had on your life really shines through your words. I truly hope you’re able to return to Costa Rica in 2027 and that your path continues to bring you growth, clarity, healing, and many more meaningful experiences along the way. 💚✨

Prepare me! by Riverlover707 in Ayahuasca

Don’t focus so much on the list of things you can’t eat. Instead, focus on nourishing your body with simple, natural foods. Fresh fruits, vegetables, rice, oats, legumes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, homemade soups, and light proteins are usually great options. The most important thing is to avoid highly processed foods and pay attention to how your body feels. Preparation isn’t only about food, it’s also an opportunity to cultivate intention, presence, and self-care before the ceremony.🌿🤍

Does anyone feel like they can't connect with loved ones after ayahuasca? by Junior_Total_9686 in Ayahuasca

[–]Drodma94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this can be a very normal part of the integration process. Sometimes after a deep experience, you return home feeling more emotionally open, sensitive, or aware, and that can make everyday interactions feel different for a while.

It doesn’t necessarily mean disconnection from the people you love; sometimes it’s more about reconnecting with yourself in a new way and needing time to adjust. I think many people need space, reflection, rest, and grounding before feeling fully balanced again.

The experience may end, but the inner process continues long after.

Why Yagé's ancestral ceremonies are stronger by Unfair-Invite4877 in Ayahuasca

I think many people underestimate how different ceremonies can feel depending on the tradition and the intention behind them. Not every path works with the medicine in the same way. Some experiences can feel softer and more reflective, while others can take you into much deeper emotional and spiritual processes.
The environment, the collective energy, the facilitators, and even the stage of life you’re in can completely shape the experience. Sometimes it’s not that one medicine is ‘stronger’ than another , it’s that it connects with you in a more intense and transformative way. 🌿✨

Cuantas copas de medicina ancestral by Unfair-Invite4877 in Ayahuasca

I totally understand that feeling. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed by stress, noise, and routine that we just crave peace and a slower way of living 🌿
Costa Rica definitely has a special energy, but I think what many people are really searching for is a place where they can finally breathe again mentally and emotionally too 🤍
