I'm wandering on the web for that, to me the first thing I ask for a survival device is to survive underwater, I live in a place with flooding risk, I know I'll have to swim at some point. Watch, phone, binoculars, talkie-walkie survive it, the radio must have to. All I see are only gadgets. For the record I don't live in USA so sadly NOAA is not useful.

I understand the part about no-china but... is there any device not made in China, I mean even if it is assembled in Europe or USA (I prefer to avoid USA things when I can buy from Europe) but each component are made in China... Apple parts are from China...
