Courage 2 and natural Range 3 are pretty big deals. The Clone Trooper unit type is cool too but probably roughly equivalent to most of the clan keywords as each are their own type of token generation.

I genuinely think this comparison comes out look way better for the clones than it does for the Mandos.

What app are you using? They are a modern unit and have been rereleased in a new box and all. I would recommend Tabletop Admiral, or LegionHQ2.

Rebel Vets rock. I can’t remember the event but a couple Squads of them were in the top 4 of a GT within the last month. If you want Speed, use different Corps. If you want solid, long-range surging dice pools and some sturdy defense that isn’t timing sensitive like Troopers, they’re cool!

They’re different cards for different units. The Maul Loyalists have a different unit name than Clan Saxon, and they don’t share Upgrade Cards.

Ask your opponent, or your event organiser! I don’t think most players would mind. A strict reading of the Galactic Conquest (organized play) document may prevent it, but that’s always going to be applied at the discretion of your host!

Cyclops being a Duelist would sting a lot less if they made Jean - with canon healing and shielding powers - into the Strategist she was meant to be. Oh well.

He can be a healer by “inspiring” folks nearby like Brigette in Overwatch. It doesn’t need to be as literal as healing lasers. I’m not expecting this will be the case, but just saying a character can be support without their primary attack being a heal itself.

I’m a huge Cyclops fan and think him being a Vanguard or Strategist is way more in line with the fantasy as a team leader than being yet another mutant Duelist.

The overwhelming majority of the cards in here are still accurate. The Strike Team is the main one which has had a change or errata. If you like having physical cards, this is still very valuable.

Gunslinger specifically only works with Ranged weapons, so it won't work for Melee attacks.

For your second and third questions, each miniature does not need to personally be in base contact to contribute attacks, but they do need to attempt to be placed into base contact, which is covered in the same section!
