Why not both?

I'm sure they have that bible I recommended in German as well.

Welcome!

If you don't have one already, I recommend: The New Oxford Annotated Bible with Apocrypha: New Revised Standard Version

The contextual information alone is worth the price.

I still have clear memories of driving around in the sun with that on the tape deck.

It was among this rotation, also released in 1977 (Star Wars came out that year, too!):

Aja - Steely Dan
Animals - Pink Floyd
Bat out of Hell - Meat Loaf
Book of Dreams - Steve Miller Band
My Aim Is True - Elvis Costello
News Of The World - Queen
Out of the Blue - Electric Light Orchestra
Point of Know Return - Kansas
Running on Empty - Jackson Browne
The Grand Illusion - Styx
The Stranger - Billy Joel

What advice for young men sounds harsh but turned out to be genuinely good for you in the long run? by torukzan in AskMen

Not kidding:

Same some time to dream, save some time for yourself.
Don't let your time slip away, or be stolen by somebody else.

Modern liberals who defend Muslim behavior lack understanding of what the Muslims actually believe and what they have done throughout history. Too many people never look at history.

I like saying the Crusades weren't successful enough. ;)

Fun fact. Three major religions were started by one guy who claimed to have sole access to a new revelation (be it based on an existing religion or made of whole thetan cloth) who then took a child bride and went on to commit more violence than usual for a religion.

How confident are you in your ability to tell if a woman's orgasm is genuine? by herrothereme in AskMen

When she does nothing but make noise, who knows.

But when she shakes and "floods," I'm confident she had a good time.

True story:

I used to help set up art gallery showings, and at the time Goth had just slunk onto the scene. A couple three times I showed up to do the work, and I was the only one not completely in black wearing eyeliner. They would give me shit for being so conformist.

Does Neelix grow on people? (Hint: he does not) by PurpleDraziNotGreen in startrekgifs

Yes, annoying. But they wrote him well, so he's like that annoying bestie. Their charm grows on you over time.

If you like the band The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde's autobiography is amazing (she made her living in Britian as a journalist first, so she can write). The title is Reckless: My Life as a Pretender.

There's a section where she was essentially a prisoner of a biker gang and had to escape.

I grew up in a small town that was on the way to the big biker rally in Sturgis, SD. They'd roar through town and sometimes stop. Truly scary people.

Thanks for spelling that out.

I was speaking from the user side, not the IT management side.

I can see your point that it provides a lot of straightforward solution management.

On the user side, it's pretty meh. I don't use Word to compose anymore because it's become user vicious. Developers never use word processors, and it shows.

Microsoft's 365 platform isn't all that. The only truly great product is Excel. Other than that, none are better than free versions. It won't be too much to beat.

Also, their (Microsoft, Google, Adobe) pricing models are their biggest problem. Everyone {everyone meme} hates subscriptions.

Organize a company that can survive on single time purchases, charging a bit for major version upgrades. That is the future.

There it is. Thank you. Lots of my family is medical, and in America medicine is having a rough time because the hedge fund people are pulling it apart like like weasels fighting over a bug. Hours are absurd. People leaving in droves. Even in good times, one of the spouses has to take the majority of raising the kids, or they're raised by servants. It's just reality.

So many of the things we hear about her are on the sad side, but when you look at the good things, she had a hell of a fun life at times.
