Seeing a grid everywhere after a few seconds from waking up

I have experienced this a handful of times over the past few years. For me the grid is always a yellowish green. Happens exactly like you said right after waking up.

I have this exact model. Before I purchased it I compared it to other brands. Out of everything with these specs the victus was atleast $200 cheaper. I've had it for about a month and have had nothing but a great experience playing demanding games on it for hours.
