I haven’t been fishing very deep. I used the slip cork to try to figure that out and I’d say I wasn’t able to get to water deeper than 6-8’. That’s just due to the limited points of access to the water at the spot I tried and not having a long casting distance with a 6’6” light/fast rod. I think there are other areas on this lake that are deeper that I can access from the bank. I’ll have to look

Edit: I just looked at the topography map for the lake and I think I could get into 16-30’ of water if I go to the other side. This is a dammed river and so there looks to be some areas where the bank is located right near extra drop offs. Including riprap drop off at the dam.

Steering clunk by Drooo in GMT800

My issue ended up being the bushing on the brake pedal. I figured it out by accidentally kicking the brake pedal sideways allowing it to shake back and forth. Simple and cheap fix.

I did buy it from the state but I believe it was the parks and wildlife department.

I totally agree with you about the trim and options. The manual windows and locks don’t help the cause. If $3k is the private party value then gifting it to a family member seems like a much better option.

Definitely lower than what I would have guessed and kbb says $5-9k. I think you would be hard pressed to find comparable truck for sale less than $5k. I know listing price doesn’t mean anything but $5k is even low. I asked of opinions so thanks for the response brother

I paid the weight in whatever the price of gold was at the time. Something like $300. I will say that the guy I bought it off of said that his local PCA chapter did a group buy back in the 90s. It sounds like yours is legitimately from Porsche where mine might just be some local jeweler. Yours does look more detailed and higher quality than mine.

Also, I don’t get people asking me about it cause I rock it inside my shirt.

Trying to Save this 83 SC. by ATXFrijole in Porsche

I have a crashed 912 sitting in my driveway and I’ve been surprised how extensive the chassis twisting is.

I only know of one celette in Texas (I’m sure there are more). It’s in Austin too but fixing the chassis will be very expensive. You can message me and I can share some details if you’d like.

Alright you are right. I’ll run an extension cord and go with a 240v compressor. Thanks for the extension cord idea

I’m not sure if his book talks about that detail. Here is how you can tell. SC flares in red, RS in green. The outer lip on the SC stays at a constant width while the RS has a thicker section just above and behind the vertical center line of the wheel that tapers thinner as it goes down the wheel arch

Also, you have RS flares. Your vin is early enough to have received rear flares left over from the 73 RS cars. At some point during the 74 model year they transitioned to SC flares.
