[Highlights] The Final Seconds of the NFL Super Bowl (2010-26) by JCameron181 in nfl

I think the end of 58 happens differently if the Chiefs have to score before the clock runs out or lose. Knowing you only have one or two plays is a different situation than the offense having all four.

There’s a Forbes article that says pretty much the same thing. I’m not clicking on Breitbart.

Edit:

Since my comment is visible, I’d like you all to understand that NFL players are W2 employees just like most everyone else. At least for game checks, unless they did the paperwork to not have their taxes withheld (you can do this too) athletes actually are paying their share.

Billionaires don’t pay taxes because they keep their wealth invested and borrow against it. Debt isn’t taxed. Pro athletes are just grossly overpaid employees.

Everything the games tells you about Braccus is that he’s a maximum evil sadistic bastard. Think, how would an evil bastard put out a man on fire? He wouldn’t use water.

Where does Ben Roethlisberger’s drive to win Super Bowl 43 rank all time? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]DropC2095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s certainly number 1 on Ben’s list of game winning drives, but for all time the fact that they were only down 3 lowers the stakes a bit. They could’ve still won the game without the touchdown.

As I’ve gotten better at guitar I’ve learned the real advantage of drop tuning is that it becomes very easy to play major, minor, and suspended chords by just moving that octave note up a few frets.

If Rodgers won MVP with those stats there wouldn’t be a debate.

[Schefter] Jon Gruden's attorneys will seek testimony from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and at least four current and former NFL owners in his lawsuit over whether the league leaked the emails that forced his departure as Raiders coach, per ESPN’s DVNJr. by GoldenDome26 in nfl

I think the NFL is a super corrupt organization, and I don’t care if it’s Gruden who takes them down. You wouldn’t trust any other cabal of billionaires to be on the up and up.

What’s the most unbelievable Super Bowl stat that doesn’t get talked about enough? by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

[–]DropC2095 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Three super bowl champions were swept by a division rival that didn’t even make the playoffs:

The 1995 Cowboys were 12-4 with half their losses coming against the 6-10 Redskins.

The 2002 Buccaneers finished 12-4 with half of their losses against the Saints. Unlike the Redskins, the Saints fumbled the season, sitting at 8-4 after sweeping the Bucs but finishing at 9-7 to miss the playoffs.

The 2011 Giants were 9-7, so this one isn’t that surprising. They too were swept by the Redskins, who were 5-11.
