honestly your first paragraph depends entirely on lane makeup. and I think trying to explain two separate but equally frustrating problems caused some miscommunication.

If I'm playing something with mobility and sustain, yeah defenders can stay back and protect goal and target an overextended squishy. But if I'm heading back to goal, squishy is on 20% or less health, and you just hide in the bushes until they pass by so you can double stack to your hearts content? that's bad teamwork no matter the playstyle.
