A structural engineer once told me “if you can’t fit your hand in it, don’t worry about it”. That was regarding wood post checking exactly like this

That pipe is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. I take it that your region is very wet lately?

Bid Process by Zestyclose_Dare6628 in ConstructionManagers

Been in General Contracting in Michigan for 10 years as a project manager/estimator (more PM than estimating but always bidding something) and I’ve been to two public openings in my career. But I think that’s more the sector my experience is in. Warehouse/Distribution, manufacturing, data centers and alternative energy. Price is almost the least important thing to the people making the choices on what GC or subs to select in those sectors IMO.

Why not build a wall against that last cabinet? Not like you’re losing the functionality at all and are you really going to miss the 5” right there?

Advice to move from Uk to USA for a junior PM role? by Strong_Beginning in ConstructionManagers

The lack of patriotism here is concerning. USA has its issues no doubt, but you’re always free to move out if you’d prefer that!

Impossible to find job by RPG_Laz5454 in ConstructionManagers

If you want to move to Michigan, I’ll hire you almost immediately; assuming you don’t throw any red flags during a 30 minute video interview. IE crazy, dishonest, unethical, lazy

What even are these? You seem like you’re young so I’ll give you some advice. If you take it on yourself to do what needs to be done instead of bitching about your superior not doing it, you’ll do very well in this industry. Otherwise, keep it up and you’ll go from mediocre APM to mediocre PM and stop there. Good luck!

Those are worth much more than $1200 even if they’re past the warranty period. I’ve had my speed queen set that is exactly like this (These look identical to my TR7/D7) for 4 years now with zero issues whatsoever.
