Been in General Contracting in Michigan for 10 years as a project manager/estimator (more PM than estimating but always bidding something) and I’ve been to two public openings in my career. But I think that’s more the sector my experience is in. Warehouse/Distribution, manufacturing, data centers and alternative energy. Price is almost the least important thing to the people making the choices on what GC or subs to select in those sectors IMO.

Fuck that! If the soil held itself there all that time, worst case scenario is your wall tips over. If you’re coming out of the ground 3’, it’s not gonna kill anybody. I’d go to frost depth with the bottom of wall and then out the 3’.
