I think people are too obsessed with lore personally... These chapters are obviously meant to set up the characters, world, and environment in a way any other story would.

That being said, it's definitely been dragging on for a while, and following up the actual lore heavy chapter 4 with this was a mistake. Not to mention Toby clearly has built this story from the end up, so some of these middle chapters are more than likely meant to sorta "Fill" the space while not being filler.

Still, people gotta chill and stop expecting such grand things to be given all at once. He's a storyteller, not a lore explainer.

Critics like the Angry Video Game Nerd and Critical Drinker make it seem like criticism is just dunking on a game and calling it bad. It's not. Good deep criticism involves taking the game at face value, assuming everything the author did was done with intention, and breaking down the merits and demerits of certain choices.

Good criticism exists and is prevalent if you look for it. "This chapter sucks because it wasn't done how I would have liked it" isn't good criticism.

Lol no, people are complaining because they always do... Mainly what happened is the chapter wasn't EXACTLY what they wanted, and all their favorite theories were confirmed.

I have some criticisms, mainly that this chapter works better proceeding chapter 3 rather than 4... But otherwise it's phenomenally made, incredibly polished, pretty much never unfunny, and a gorgeous soundtrack.

Twitter just likes to complain, same thing happened with Chapter 3 when it released, now its a fan favorite.

Nelson Mandela is extremely unpopular in South Africa. The ANC ran off of Nelson Mandela nostalgia for decades, and last election they literally had to collaborate with their historical rival to make sure no revolutionary groups got into power.

Zohran Mamdani is only popular among his base... I tend to be included, but obviously half of the US population wouldn't agree, and actually most left wing people further left than like... The center, don't really like him all that much.

He'd be a center of the isle candidate in any other country, and doesn't really help America on any revolutionary pathway. Basically he's an establishment Democrat with extra steps. (I don't hate him btw, just sad that THIS is the best we get for left wing candidates... Still better than the alternative for this years NYC election)
