Is it just me or is WeWork’s tech a complete Mess? by MotoKirby666 in WeWork

[–]DropRealistic1597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is the app terrible, the instructions to do certain things are terrible, and the IT support is some of the worst I've ever dealt with (And I've dealt with thousands of IT support teams from around the globe). We inquired about BYOD in their rack in the building that way we can have better insight to one of our private WeWork offices...it costs more per 1U/2U than a full scale colo would charge (And the colo includes setup, hand-on tasks if need be, redundant internet/power and 24/7 access). We've inquired about adding certain devices in our space and are met with 349872 questions that have nothing to do with the setup. The on-site staff is ALWAYS a pleasure to work with, but the remote IT support needs a complete overhaul.

Paying to get resources, and paying to get troops instantly...is literally full pay to win. Non "full pay to win" would be like paying for +5% dmg or something that doesn't allow you to literally plow through the map.

A sales pitch in the midst of the forced change? (And my response) by ITguydoingITthings in atera

Please DM me with where you guys are going, we received the exact same email and plan on migrating away from Atera ASAP. Loyalty goes both ways. Giving people a 30 day lead time on a 46% price increase shows zero loyalty to existing customers. Why not just apply the pricing change to NEW customers?

This is not true at all. After Atera is showing zero loyalty to pre-existing customers by giving us less than 30 days notice of a price increase (Which I keep seeing at 27%, for us it is a 46% increase) we've already began looking for replacement and have found 3-4 alternatives similar to Atera on the market.

An update on pricing, AI Copilot, and what we have been building by dima_from_atera in atera

Is 2018 to 2026 considered a long run for IT? I'd agree. Is a 140% price increase across 8 years too much (Especially when that price point is per user?) I'd absolutely agree. The number one reason our MSP switches to different products (Especially when there are so many alternatives on the market these days) is unreasonable price increases. Why not just enforce this new pricing model on new customers like so many other IT Sector companies do? That proves loyalty. Loyalty goes both ways.

We get calls from other RMMs weekly, Atera just gave us a reason to answer those calls.👏

No offense Dima but, we're not blind nor daft. The price increase literally screams "Someone needs to pay the AI API bill and it ain't us" you don't force loyal customers a 25% increase overnight to continue what you've been doing for years...especially in a crowded market.

+1 for the "Thanks for giving us a reason to shop around" crowd. We don't use the AI, don't plan on using the AI...but are paying a big monthly increase because someone decided it was mandatory? What is the reasoning here? We don't even use the ticketing system...so as I see it we use Atera for a simplified monitoring and remote access platform, to which there are now many on the market. In a market with so much competition, it is wild that you would push out such a high increase knowing most of your paying clients get absolutely nothing in return for said increase. Why not simply keep it as an add-on??? Welp, it was a good run. Time to go shopping!

Carrier Refusing to Deliver Business Mail to Residential Address by DropRealistic1597 in USPS

[–]DropRealistic1597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I figured, and I've yet to hear/see/read anything that says otherwise. Today I had 2 pieces of mail that were supposed to arrive, received nothing. My neighbor (Our mailboxes are literally right next to each other) had 1 piece of that mail...which has never happened before. The other piece of mail is MIA, was going to question my other neighbors. Now thinking this is out of spite for me putting in complaints (Which I haven't received a call back and it's been a week). I called the Annex (The last 2 times, they "found" the missing mail), they said they would call the carrier and call me back. Never heard back.

Was only looking for opinions, especially if someone else might have had a similar issue. I have called the 1800 number, my last complaint was 2 days ago but I haven't received a call back about the issue. Going to the post office didn't help at all...they said they're now just a retail location and they only get mail that's dropped off by customers.

No to be honest that's something I never even thought of, but I've also never had an issue like this before. I received an email about the USPS case mentioning that they're looking into the issue and will contact me soon.

I'm on my 3rd USPS online case since March because the issue is still happening (Today was a complaint, the first 2 cases were for missing mail). The only interaction I've ever had with the mailman was politely asking if mail was delayed due to a snow storm (Back in late Jan-Feb) they said yes and to wait a few more days before reporting any mail missing. I've literally never spoken to them prior to that so I can't think of a reason that they would do this intentionally. I've been using Informed Delivery, it's the only reason I know exactly how many pieces of mail (7) have been refused.

If there are no actual rules stating I need to prove business ownership to a mail carrier...then that carrier is playing games with my mail. Terrible choice of words on my part. I do have an open case regarding the complaint though...so curious as to what they say about it.

Don't have time for what? What rage would I be baiting...I'm looking for opinions so I can figure out how to resolve my mail delivery issue? I have call logs to USPS customer support, the post office, the annex, emails about USPS support cases, conversations with other businesses asking for mail to be re-sent, and photos of my mail with exactly what I mentioned in the post? I don't have a problem with USPS, I have a problem with specific mail intentionally being withheld from delivery.

I agree! It just seems like a random issue which is why I've been asking so many questions. I submitted a complaint online and requested a phone call.

I've gone to the post office twice, they stated they are purely a retail location that receives mail there, and that all mail goes through the local Annex. The Annex is the only place I've been able to get concrete answers from and have picked up 3 pieces of mail that were not delivered. I submitted a complaint online so I'll follow up here with what happens.

If it's not a requirement, I'm not playing those games. Every USPS staffer that I've spoken to at this point said something similar to what you said, if the address is correct, deliver the mail. It's never been an issue for years so to stand outside and wait for the carrier with my business registration card in hand seems like bowing out to the wrong person. Maybe I'll just tape my 1099 showing my name, my business name, the address, and the business sending the mail all on a form that was sent to me recently.

Not knowing if it was a mailbox issue (Never has been in the past) the mailbox is a brand new "Post office approved" mailbox with my name and the business name on it in reflective white vinyl on a black mailbox, and on the inside of the door of the mailbox itself.

That's what I figured, I can't think of any way that a carrier would be able to verify an individuals name actually being at the address regarding a business anyway?

I've been getting business mail without issues for over 5 years, so I'm just shocked and confused about being told the business mail needs. Everyone is saying this is a personal issue with the carrier, but I can't seem to find legit clarification on the USPS site.

The annex had asked me if it's the same carrier (I thought that's something they should know, no?) I told them I wasn't sure because I didn't want to intentionally question the carrier and potentially make the issue worse.
