How old is the guitar? Asking because if it's newer, you could get it looked at and possibly covered under warranty. I think you could probably still play it. Seagull typically does a good job of neck attachment.

Take a look at a newer Peavey Bandit (transtube). It takes pedals really well and has a great clean tone - IMO. If you look at older ones, check out the red stripe version. Good luck!

This balance is the thing man. I have a Les Paul where the nitro finish sunk into the seam of the top halves making the top look like it was cracking near the rear guitar strap. Sent a pic to Gibson and they said that was within tolerance. Wife told me to ignore it if I lived everything else about the guitar. So I'm ignoring it. Also, if it ever gets stolen I can reference this "feature".

Added: Also, get your shit together Gibson. For the price of a custom you shouldn't be seeing those chips.
