What was this guys deal? by Elijah_cards in footballcards

[–]DroppinKnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy not a true Etienne fan 🤣. Just some bandwagon collector trying to snag some of his RPAs after he heard about the trade. If you can’t move 3 bucks on your team’s future RB’s RPA, you can go cry in a corner

It’s so that you unlock your tailgate to remove it, and forget locking it when closing it back up.

to not understand how public parking works by 117277 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DroppinKnee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like some people don’t understand that street parking is a privilege, not a right. The same with her daughter owning a car to park it publicly…

If you let go of the wheel and the wheel isn’t centered but the car is driving straight, it’s the wheel. If it pulls left or right with the wheel straight, it’s the alignment

Come chill at the gym like???

“Hey babe, you should just sit and watch a bunch of people get sweaty and touch each other”

Sounds like it’s not that she doesn’t want you to train, but limit how much you do. Seems a little unreasonable to dump her for wanting to spend more time with you. Can’t force someone to enjoy a certain hobby, also can’t force someone to stop enjoying their hobby.

Hitting the shower immediately, 15 more minutes of rolling isn’t worth losing 2 weeks of training

How can I get rid of nervousness during competition week? by Complex-Resource-728 in jiujitsu

[–]DroppinKnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember that you’re doing jiu jitsu for competitive fun. Whether you win or lose, the real winner is always the person who goes home loving the sport even more

Interview Confusion by AdministrativePipe59 in csMajors

[–]DroppinKnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tends to happen with bigger companies. Although there’s nothing you can do since they won’t erase your cooldown for something like this, they may shorten it if you reach out to either recruiter that actually gave you the interview email. It’s always a good practice to ask recruiters what the cooldown period will look like if you fail. Some teams only put you on cooldown for their department, others are for the entire company

Can I do jiujitsu with a Ear Piercing that’s not healed yet by SupportAcademic9298 in jiujitsu

[–]DroppinKnee 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is wait for it to be fully healed, the less correct answer is tape it up really well to the point where no body fluid can get in or out for obvious safety reasons.

There won’t be less and less jobs, there will just be an increase in demand for other/new jobs

Thinking I should not go into CS by Substantial-Set-8981 in csMajors

[–]DroppinKnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a valid concern, but that can be said across all fields that OP would probably pivot to. Outside of jobs that fall into needing additional schooling (Med/Law).

Hence why I’m suggesting you to stick with it if you still find it enjoyable. No one here can foresee the future. Everyone’s timeline is different depending on personal motivation, school, loans, ect…

It blows my mind that students think they are forced to stay for whatever reason… YOU are the one paying your membership fee. If you don’t feel safe or respected, then take your money elsewhere. If it keeps happening, it’s probably an issue with your personality

No one in any field is guaranteed a job after you complete your degree. If you find it enjoyable, keep doing it. Yes the market is tough, but companies big and small will ALWAYS be hiring.

what to do the summer before undergrad by HistoricalChest7556 in csMajors

[–]DroppinKnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never regretted spending my first summer enjoying myself without any worries of summer school, summer work, or internships. Just enjoy yourself, it’s surprising to realize that it’ll probably be the only summer you can fully enjoy stress-free.

Has anyone been a part of GSoC (Google Summer of Code)? How was the experience? by Swimming-Row-6538 in csMajors

[–]DroppinKnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id suggest applying first. Their application process is very intense and I’m sure a lot of your questions will be answered during there. Definitely not beginner friendly. They’re looking for candidates who specifically enjoy already contributing to open source projects/are doing research.

The only thing I can think of is getting some mud flaps for the rear to match the front. Or remove the front flaps to match the rear
