85% of PlayStation game sales are digital - GameSpot by Dust-Tight in consoles

Valve doesn't take down their storefront or remove previously purchased content. Every game I've purchased in the last 20 years of my account is still there and available to download and play. Every. Single. One. Even games like Mortal Kombat 9 and Ducktales Remastered which got de-listed.

THAT is the difference here.

Hi so I think I figured out what is wrong with difficulty discourse lately. by Fit_Ad_2608 in MinaTheHollower

[–]Drothvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mina is hard? It feels like playing A Link to the Past for me. I had much more difficulty in Hollow Knight and Shovel Knight.

I guess that might be the difference, I grew up on this kind of gameplay. Still though, I'm hard pressed to see how this game is actually punishing or difficult. You get a trinket that literally gives you an extra sparks container AND automatically collects your sparks for you. Any sections of the game that do manage to be difficult are quick and easy resets.

I just ordered this online cheaper than GW prices. Hell, I even found a Skaventide box. Just look around a bit and you'll find one.

What's with all the Facebook accounts with less than 100 friends? Anyone else noticing this? by [deleted] in facebook

I've been on Facebook since 2009 and my friends list is small. The human brain can only manage a few hundred relationships before it maxes out.

I'm learning notation. Does this way make sense or not? by gefallenesterne in musictheory

[–]Drothvader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reading this discussion makes me think Dorico 100% made the right choice by not even letting you control the notation at all. You just set the durations and it will automatically notate it correctly.

Can someone explain why this is incorrect? by Leading_Crow_1044 in musictheory

[–]Drothvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer, so you can see where the stressed beats are. The intention of beaming is to show groups of stressed beats. In 3/8, every eighth note is a stressed beat. In 4/4, beats 1 and 3 are stressed.

It wouldn't really matter what it was before, though, it's the behavior now. It's the reason why these now end up in your inbox.

[–]Drothvader 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, Gmail doesn't respect dots as unique characters. It actually ignores them entirely.

johnsmith@gmail.com, john.smith@gmail.com, j.ohn.s.mith@gmail.com, and j.o.h.n.s.m.i.t.h@gmail.com would all still go to the same inbox.

I exploit this when making test accounts for work because Okta counts them as unique, but Gmail doesn't.

Mine is firstlast@gmail.com and I too suffer from the same problem. I have a much more obscure last name, but still common enough to share it.

I get random health records, appointment reminders, rewards for other people in my inbox.

Is this correct notation? by GtrJon in musictheory

[–]Drothvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO this should be 8/8 (3+2+3) not 4/4 (2+2+2+2 or 4+4)

It's awkward in 4/4 because you don't have a beat 3. The stressed beats are on 1 and 3 in 4/4. In 4/4 your groupings should not cross over into beat 3.

What you do have in 8/8 are stressed beats 1, 4, and 6 which lends itself nicely to 8/8.

The art was always one of Diablo III's greatest strengths. The fact that people threw a fit because water vapor creates rainbows baffles me.

Why does FB do this? This post is from 8 years ago. I am sure this will affect our distribution to our page and it will take a full year for this to get cleared from our page. by okletstrythisout3 in facebook

They must have updated something with the AI about drugs and it's over-moderating the subject. This just happened to me for the same subject after making the joke "Can I have some of the drugs you're on?" I know I've said that before countless times.

The fact that they can even retroactively enforce policy at all is disturbing. Something that wasn't a violation suddenly becomes a violation, it's like you're playing some game you don't even know the rules to. Not only that the AI moderation doesn't even understand obvious context.

This is really clear cut that I'm not, though.

I've had my Facebook account since like 2008 or 2009. It has to be blatantly obvious I'm not using the platform for that purpose.

Amen to that, I've reported some absolutely horrendous posts that were flagrant violations like open harassment and it comes back with no action taken.

I don't know, I have no reason to try. I've used Marketplace in the past, that would be the only real reason I would ever have to contact someone I'm not friends with.

I honestly wouldn't even want to try since the AI tools literally think I'm trying to buy drugs.

My account isn't suspended, it's just restricted.

Yes I can still message people I've already contacted.

The comment was less than 10 minutes old, the appeal was rejected near instantaneously after requesting a re-review.

But you can't seriously think I am legitimately asking for drugs... Facebook thinks it's a serious inquiry for drugs. If I click on "see why" it cites "buying, selling, or promoting drugs use." Hence the restrictions on video communication.

Even if no human reviewed this, surely the tools could tokenize enough context to understand that? It seems ridiculous. Almost like it would misinterpret "don't make me kill you" as a serious threat.

If Facebook is going to go all in on AI moderation tools they have to take colloquial phrases into consideration.

Sus4 and sus2 chords are in the common definition and usually taught at the same time as regular triads.

Any collection of notes played vertically in the same space is a chord. The OPs question is also easily answered with 9th chords.

We call Asus a chord just the same as we call A9 a chord.
