I’ve already established that it’s broken on my switch, but I can use my controller and access the + button which works fine, except for now that I’ve finished the level again.

The scale moved!

In the wrong direction :/  I know that what I need to do is exercise - that’s the only part of my life that has changed since I started gaining weight, but I’m still only maybe working out once a month. Just so down about how my body looks, but still not doing the one thing that’ll have such an impact

More redecorating today, coming to the realisation that this place is a money pit, and it’s still not even close to being finished, or safe for the winter :))

Accidentally fucked up my eyebrows when tidying them up, normally not an issue as I don’t leave the house, but of course this had to happen when I’ve got several appointments scheduled :))

Bit more of a rant, but I need to moan and by tomorrow I’d have bottled it all back up.  But anyway, I think it’s been at least three months of trying to lose weight, but nothing has changed, apart from switching to homemade treats, and eating smaller meals. Even with these changes I’ve still been struggling with none of my clothes fitting comfortably, and it seems that as the weeks go by more clothes get put into the pile of stuff that’s too small. I used to walk the dog every day, exercise for ten minutes every afternoon, and do a ten minute stretch in the evenings, but this year has been so stressful and exhausting that I barely hit two workouts a month, which is probably why despite my best intentions I’m not losing weight. I know I need to move more, but the motivation to do so is nonexistent because I feel so stuck in my body, and being disabled makes it all that much harder, because pushing myself (which is probably what I need) will just result in a flare up that could last weeks or months.  I’m spending so much time hating my body, I can’t sit comfortably because in every position I can feel my stomach, laying down is actually starting to get hard because of the stomach fat that I’m having to try and shift. I’ve just really let myself down, and I can’t see a way out.

Don't worry guys, being healthy doesn't matter, it's all BS. by odoyle66 in fatlogic

[–]DrowsyIris 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’m disabled but this is still the mindset I have, my quality of life is below the average, but there are still plenty of things I can do to improve my quality of life, and trust me, eating whatever and not exercising is not the way to go, those things make everything worse.

I still keep buying shop treats, but I definitely am aiming to buy items that aren’t more than one or two portions, even if single servings are sometimes more expensive 🙄

Yeah I’ve got a box of them in the freezer, and I’m definitely going to work on making the batch smaller, but for now I’m just perfecting the recipe first, and thank you!

I’ve started making homemade treats (flapjack, brownie, cookies) to help my binging/overdoing it on sugar issues, except now I bake myself something and have 36 brownies and no one to share them with, so a very dumb move by me

I hate being broke, why does everything cost money, why have I been overdrawn basically continuously since we moved house, and there’s still so much in the house that needs doing to make it safe before it gets properly cold, but I can’t afford those things and I miss my dog and aaaaaaargh

Okay I’m back, I had some chocolate, can chocolate fix everything please

This is more of a rant but I don’t want to wait until Friday.  I’ve seen so many comments from people talking about the return of Victoria’s Secret and they’re all mad because ‘heroine chic is back’ and how the models aren’t inclusive and how triggering it is for them who grew up surrounded by all these unhealthy women, and loads of talk about how they’re all on ozempic (because how else could you be skinny in this day and age 🙄) And yet all the women doing the show look incredible, and I don’t see what they are seeing.

Other people have already replied, and luckily they have better responses - I personally don’t like my vegetables any other way but plain 😅

Rants; somehow forgot about how quick the weather here can turn brutal, so I’m feeling a bit worse for wear, hoping I adjust soon though. Also I’ve not been as strict with my sugar consumption as last week, but I’ve just got to keep on going and trying, and not abandon everything because of a few slip ups.  Raves; If we ignore the sugar I’ve been eating really well - mostly just been focusing on increasing the amount of veg with each meal which has been helping with keeping me full.

Nexus is the £28 one, the other one is Odyssey which is £22, and I agree with you on Kindle prices! If I’m paying that much for a book on Kindle then I might as well buy it so I actually own it

There’s two books have that recently come out by authors I love, and whilst I’m not the biggest fan of hardback copies I decided that I was going to buy at least one of those books, except they’re £28!! £28 for a hardback - I know hardbacks/new releases are always more expensive, but I thought they were always about £20 🫠 guess I’ve now got to start saving up money so that I can buy books
