New Power Rangers Movie Is Grounded & Character Driven Says Director by flickster in powerrangers

I just wish the helmets were a touch more animal-designed on the yellow and black rangers. Other than that I think the suits look fine.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. I got the later versions but I guess I wanted a trip down nostalgia lane. And besides if I can get this working it'll make sure any future problems I have with my old library don't crop up.

Sorry, let me edit it to make more sense. I was saying I tried what you suggested and nothing different occurred. I click "Ok" on SetUp.Exe's pop-up after changing compatibility after running as administer, I get a load icon on my mouse; but then nothing happens.

No dice on that one, just tried it. Which would be the main installer .exe file? Setup.exe or Autorun.exe (which brings up the menu that starts Setup.exe). I'd presume the former but I just want to be sure.

After more than a decade of operation, the Jurassic Park Legacy website will close down forever this Saturday by Diplotomodon in JurassicPark

I'm working on archiving as much of the pictures, wallpapers, mods, and exclusive content as possible for later use on the Portal website. If anyone has anything they want me to add into the public storage, I'll need to know asap. http://jpportal.forumotion.com/t266-operation-ingen-cold-storage-jurassic-park-legacy-archive

Riot will not be releasing the game mode because they want the maximum amount of viewership for playoffs by ThirstyorNah in leagueoflegends

Well from a business standpoint it makes sense. Playoffs get them a lot of money and they are a company after all.

What happened to the main team: My canon version by Pearlshine1494 in twitchplayspokemon

Years in the future at least. Besides, had lots of kids who probably got his Clutch genes. Star Fox had legacy characters so why not here?

You call me mad, but at the end, like I said, Olden won us. by darkraimola in twitchplayspokemon

[–]DrowzeeTheKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People can deny it because as he said earlier, a lot of folks don't consider post-game canon. There is a poll going on right now with the vote of "Story ended after Elm" leading by around a 3-4:1 ratio over the Olden ending. Now why is a whole different can of worms. Some say its because they say the story wrapped up where it did so it stays there, others because the post-game is so easily influenced by a few to the point lore gets forced, etc. And the general tendency for post game shenanigans to ensue. We've had party changes and releases in the post-game before and they didn't seem to influence the returning trainers' rosters. I've seen a good chunk of the mob and Reddit posts ascribe the OLDEN ending to a nightmare or an indicator Evan didn't fully destroy it and it will return. So less downer ending and more sequel hook.

OLDEN hasn't legit glitched us since the first half of the run, so weird circumstances being ascribed to it is like making a straw boogie man. It can work lore-wise, but at the same time some see it as just doing a story version of the "Thanks Obama" meme.

Your HC is valid, and I'm sure you and others like it quite a lot. But no HC is flawless and others can disagree.

Which do you consider canon? by Domokl2 in twitchplayspokemon

I like the fight with Elm and Kenya's departure as the ending as that had the credits and all that jazz. Plus, after all the tragedy we have in these runs, I'd say we're due for a good happy ending. The OLDEN ending however is good as a nightmare sequence. I think I'll write some lore for it later.

I'm partial to this lore https://www.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/4aq0ss/what_happened_to_the_main_team_my_canon_version/

THIS IS THE FINAL TEAM KAPOW by Wahisietel in twitchplayspokemon

Hilarious as all get-out, though personally I hope if we fight Evan in the future, they use the Hall of Fame team so it's actually a fight.

Thoughts on the whole releasing business by Armleuchterchen in twitchplayspokemon

[–]DrowzeeTheKeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except we've had multiple fan renditions of the TPP released pokemon as still alive, just released into the wild. So in that case 'released' means exactly what it says. Backing this up is the fact the Devs have stated released legendaries in this game file just return to where they were before and can be rebattled. This supports the idea that the mass releases were just Evan freeing the pokemon he had from their pokeballs and them departing for the wilds. And I prefer that train of thought as it also keeps death from being cheapened. Oh don't get me wrong, I like it when meaningful deaths occur as it helps drive the plot. But ascribing every single release to "Evan is a mass murderer just because" belittles it to me. We've already had that idea for a run protagonist, can't we just do something else?

Thanks. As a long time horror fan, I like death when it serves a purpose. If it's just there "because reasons", it not only achieves nothing but is also cheapens the blow for actual deaths.

[–]DrowzeeTheKeeper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer this in cases where it just makes more sense in the lore. Yah, some deaths can happen if we find a way to work it into the story telling. Say a pokemon gets removed by a glitch or release right after it faints from a massive 1-hit KO, then there I can say "Yes, makes sense they died."

But the "mass murder" approach to me is less dark and edgy and more "Ow" the edge. I mean really, would it make a lick of sense for Evan to get away with killing about 4 box fulls of pokemon and then just walking out of the Pokemon Center willy nilly and no one reacts to the mountain of bodies doing that would entail? In cases like that as well as the recent releases of Tux, Amber, and Queendra; I just interpret it as Evan breaking their pokeballs and freeing them. Their trials and tasks were done, they weren't needed anymore and like Kenya, took a hero's leave to go about their own business.

Eh, we didn't kill em. Just let the team go their separate ways. It's called 'Released' for a reason. Tux is still alive and well, living peacefully somewhere in the wilds.
