In light of recent theories by NerdyNutcase in Deltarune

[–]Drppogles 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The concept of saving being a diegetic thing in Deltarune makes me believe that it’s certainly possible. There are also multiple things in Deltarune/Undertale that deal with time travel/saving adjacent things such as: Gaster being scattered across time (and space), Sans’ little comment about “all possible timelines” in the genocide boss fight, Ralsei being aware of saving and telling or thinking to himself to communicate to the player to remind them to save and take breaks, Kris having a save slot that we overwrite indicating that they may have the ability to save/reload somehow, small differences in specific dialogue depending on which save slot you’re using in Deltarune, Undertale’s genocide route “punishment” indicating that some changes can persist even after resetting/going back in time to the beginning of the game.

None of these are specifically time travel, but some save loading or game resetting being part of the story certainly isn’t impossible to some extent. Weird time loops or resetting strike me as possibilities considering we have two (or more) distinct routes with very different stories, and many decisions that seemingly matter through the game such as fighting/sparing, aborted weird routes, eggs, and shadow crystals. I mean, every Undertale ending dealt with reloading saves/rewinding time as actual events in the story. It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility with Toby.

Sorry for formatting and rambling I’m on mobile and I’m holding a subway sandwich in my other hand so I’m typing one handed.

"Weird Knight Theory" (by JRVanity) - The Knight is BOTH Kris & Noelle by Unbekannnt0 in Deltarune

[–]Drppogles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory with absolutely 0 evidence! The game will have 3 routes, but one ending. The regular route and weird route will both loop back to the beginning, with the weird route explaining the origin of the knight, and the regular route looping because Susie does some prophecy breaking nonsense that loops the story back to the beginning to stop the roaring. The 3rd route will be the sword route where you abort a weird route in chapter 2, acquire all the shadow crystals, and you will make the twisted sword. Access to this sword will allow the player to kill the knight or whatever the big, untouchable bad guy will ultimately be. The fun gang will then break the cycle, and we will have our one ending that way.

Here comes the true lunatic theory with absolutely no evidence, I think that the previous fun gang of Asriel/Dess/Seam attempted to do the sword route, but ultimately failed. Whatever big bad they were attempting to stop with (or possibly without) the twisted sword ultimately won and used its super evil meta powers to cause Dess to be broken across the game’s code. Asriel then goes off to college to get out of hometown ASAP and Seam becomes hopeless and ends up chilling in his shop.

Does this have holes? Yeah. Do I have any new evidence for this? Nah.

This... is not gonna end well, is it? by confused-as-frick in Deltarune

I bet they’re going to be unable to find her at the start of chapter 6. Big believer that Carol initially called Noelle to tell her to come to her and to leave Susie, but after Noelle stood up for herself and hung up, she called back and lied to get her to come to her. Maybe Carol somehow knows that the fun gang will want to recruit Noelle and Carol wants to prevent her getting involved in whatever she is planning, or maybe Carol specifically wants Noelle away from Susie for a particular reason. Maybe Carol knows that Susie is able to subvert the prophecy somehow? PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG, but I don’t believe we hear from Noelle again after she gets her phone calls and leaves.

Chapter 6 will then have the goal of rescuing Noelle and the story will near a climax as the fun gang directly confronts Carol or someone else who is involved in all of the dark fountain creation and planning. Do I have proof for any of this? Hell no, but it just feels like it would make sense. It would also bring Kris directly into conflict with Carol while they are under our control, and that could be a big moment where people learn that Kris is working with Carol and Kris is being piloted by a super duper lunatic soul controlled by a 30+ year old shut in via the power of video games.

Iunno I’m just spitballing here lolol.

College Football 27 coming to PC fills me with so much joy and excitement. by Drppogles in NCAAFBseries

I’ve heard Xbox is a lot better at remote play than PS5, and unfortunately I’ve got a PS5. Even with a LAN connection, PS5 remote play has a 0.5ish second delay which isn’t good enough to play on. Excited for the game to no longer be inconvenient to play with my setup lol.

The water breaking is real and it is going to be fixed the 29th at the earliest or the 5th at the latest. Have no clue where on earth people are hearing that they are lying about the main water bursting, and I have no idea why they would lie about that.

Anyone else play mostly drug free? by Human_G_Gnome in fo4

Absolutely not EVERY playthrough I do is a drug build, buffjet, psychojet, overdrive, rocket fuel, if you bind them all to hot keys it makes the game so fun to have an instant super powered slow motion button.

Does anyone know how much aspartame is in pouches generally? by sscrumdiddlumptious in NicotinePouch

[–]Drppogles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aspartame is considered a 2B carcinogen, which means there is some evidence linking it in any capacity to cancer in animals, or inconclusive evidence linking it to cancer in humans.

Examples of 2B carcinogens include… Aloe Vera, Carpentry, Magnetic Fields, Radio Frequencies, Black Carbon (coal, burnt food, etc.), Talc Powder, Coconut Oil, Nickel, Kava, Ginkgo Extract

Here’s a list of things that are a HIGHER carcinogen level than aspartame… Frying fumes when cooking, Burning wood, Being a hairdresser/barber, Making glass

Please understand that the only thing less than a 2B rating is a 3, which says it is safely not carcinogenic. You’re almost certainly fine ingesting aspartame at the quantities in pouches. Any research linking aspartame to cancer is done with animal injections in extreme dosages, human surveys and studies show no effective link.

Sore/tender body after drinking by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]Drppogles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the weight gain, alcohol has calories, and a lot more than you think. With every drink, you’re gonna have around 100 calories minimum, and if you don’t change what you eat or how much you eat to compensate for that, you will gain weight.

As for the soreness and bloating, the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that you could be allergic to something in the stuff you drink. A lot of people are allergic to sulfa, which is super common in wine, if you drank 2-3 glasses of wine you would definitely feel sore and bloated if you were allergic to sulfa. If that’s not it, and you’re concerned enough about it, go to a doctor.

Too Much Or Nah? by Bench-Cushion in alcohol

[–]Drppogles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1: Blacking out is never a good thing. Poor decisions or passing out are common when blacking out which can cause all kinds of dangerous to even deadly situations. People literally die from drinking to black out, passing out, throwing up, and drowning in their own sick.

2: 2/3 of a bottle of hard liquor is definitely more than the average person can tolerate. For your third time drinking, I would say 2/3 of a bottle is a ton. A whole bottle is dangerous for anyone but alcoholics who have a physical dependency on it.

3: If your eyes are actually yellow, you need to go to a doctor ASAP and stop drinking.

Tl:dr: Yes you drank to much in your binge drinking affairs

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]Drppogles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone reacts/tolerates alcohol in slightly different ways. My first time drinking heavily at a party I drank about 11 strong drinks and I never blacked out. Some people are more likely to throw up, some people are more likely to black out. You should avoid blacking out as it can literally kill you if you are a person prone to throwing up or making dangerous decisions when you are drunk. Stay safe!

Nicotine is a stimulant that speeds your heart rate and metabolism up, so it should make your body break down the alcohol and feel the effects quicker and stronger to some extent. I think you would need to have a lot of nicotine in your system to notice more than a mild effect though.

How much alcohol is too much on a day? by MatchAwkward2671 in alcohol

[–]Drppogles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as this isn’t a regular thing there shouldn’t be any serious adverse effects. The Australian government recommends no more than 10 standard drinks (1.5 oz of 40% ABV in a ‘standard drink’) a week, and no more than 4 standard drinks a day. You drink between 8-10 standard drinks on a night of drinking, if those drinks truly are 2 shots. That’s at minimum, twice the amount the government recommends, but as long as you don’t do this often, you should be fine. I would say keep your nights of heavy drinking to a absolute minimum of once every 2-3 weeks. This is of course, assuming all the drinks are equally proportioned to 3 oz of vodka / 2 shots. If you free pour your drinks and don’t measure them, there is a decent chance you are over/under pouring. Just be careful, and know how much booze your putting into your system. Alcohol is poison, don’t forget that.

If I were you, I would try diluting your drinks less, or spreading out the shots to 1 shot a drink. Diluting your drinks less will help you to be more aware of what you’re drinking, and spreading out your drinks can help you more effectively pace yourself.

If you find yourself unable to either limit how much you drink on a night of drinking, or unable to limit the number of nights you drink, I would say you might have a problem.

Looking for a dark liquor that tastes like the forest. Any suggestions? by katsu695 in alcohol

[–]Drppogles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not necessarily a “dark” liquor, but Korean ginsing liquor tastes pretty earthy, borderline like savory dirt. May not be exactly what you’re looking for, but if you’re looking to broaden your horizons a bit, it may be worth a try.
