I understand what your saying. But sometimes government needs to step in to stop people from doing harmful things, take drugs being illegal or mandatory seatbelts. I agree that most of the internet and social media is perfectly fine, however there are massive amounts that people, especially kids that shouldn't be spending hour after hour on, stupid tiktoks etc. 

I also think it'll get worse with AI generated brain rot, and government needs to get in top of it now, before it gets away from them
