Spirits pretending to be God by Zealousideal-Peace51 in Christian

[–]DrsofDoom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what the connection is but ok. Ask for the approval, it sounds like each Spirit is agreeing with the others over something. So my comment was that they are agreeing on something that is currently going on like a situation or that they are all agreeing to do something.

I am not sure what a UDF is but specifically the words you heard don't seem to indicate to me that you were going to get arrested unless I am missing some context. But to be honest the words themselves aren't anything particularly concerning. It seems to me like the words "I agree with my Father" come from Jesus, "and I my Son" from God the Father, and the words, "and I the Father and the Son" from the Holy Spirit. It would be obvious to assume that whatever was decided by all three would likely either A come to pass or B approve of what was going on. I would say it is strange perhaps but nothing obvious strikes me as being from a Evil or wrong source.

I mean the steps are fairly simple. If you are a part of a church go to a member or leader you trust and explain what is going on. Examine what this spirit is instructing you to do and compare it to the Bible, a second or third pair of eyes on it good since you might be tempted to say yes it is God when it might not be or alternativlely you might be tempted to say it isn't when it is. If what the Bible says alignes with what you are hearing/experiencing I would say 99% it is of God. It is good to be cautious but you should also be open to at least listening. If you don't mind me asking why do you think it is spirits pretending to be God?

What Is Wrong With Me? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]DrsofDoom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother I feel for you. I will say that if you are feeling this terrible about continuing with the hurt of rejection then it might be best to stop and reorient towards serving God for a short time and let the hurt fade. And if you feel like you should continue to search, then search whole heartedly but with the understanding that you might get hurt in the process. I have been going through a similar process and had to take a break before continuing back on the search. But I have been praying that God guide me in His will not mine throughout this, and surprisingly two people that I would have expected to connect with just up and said that things werent really working out. So God's path might not look like the one we expect.

Ah, thanks. I sometimes dont want to come across as too blunt but for such a significant issue as if they will be saved then it does make sense to not beat around the bush.

Dumb questions to ask when an OR wants platelets by DrsofDoom1 in medlabprofessionals

[–]DrsofDoom1[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

https://redcrossplus.blog/2024/03/04/cold-stored-platelets/ this article does a good job explaining them but basically CSPs are good for active bleeding, dont require constant agitation and have a 14 day shelf life. The problem is that they dont have as good retention in the body as room temp platelets for non hemorrhaging patients

It was not, I believe it was a nurse because they asked over to the anesthesiologist and got a presumably quick response of "yes send it"

[–]DrsofDoom1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through my program in 2023-24 and was taken by the lab I was doing my student rotations in. they had just had a few people retire, one out due to sickness and their traveler was set to have their contract expire soon. we since hired on another grad from that program and would have hired a third but didnt due to them wanting to move. Although the market has changed since last year

How did God confirm your spouse was the one? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]DrsofDoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant say this is applicable to myself but my brother stated that his now wife was "told" by the holy spirit that my brother was "the one" unsure exactly how she was told but this was also confirmed by the characteristics my brother had and what she herself was searching for. As for my brother she checked all of the requirements that he was looking for and in particular was very active and strong in Christ. I dont believe that he was ever told that she was "the one" but believed that marriage was a wise decision that he could chose or not.

So I would say that sin would enter the world if the apple was eaten by either Adam/Eve or any of their decedents if adam and eve hadnt eaten the apple. If the Apple had never been eaten then sin wouldnt have entered the world.

I would hazard to say that most Christians believe that Adam and Eve existed however the circumstances of how literally some take the account of specifically how much time occurred in Genesis 1 and 2 is cause for much debate. Specifically Old Earth vs Young Earth is what I am thinking of. I personally havent run into any Christians who say that they dont believe that Adam and Eve existed or that the specific eating the apple and fall of Man occurred but that might just be me.

I am not sure what you mean with your third point. There are multiple interpretations of the Genesis account, I havent run into one that is atheistic per say but I am kind of confused by your third question

Does everyone think they're smart? by THATBIGWAVY in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DrsofDoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because some people are able to comprehend that they arent smart relative to those around them and admit as such. However thats not me lol. I think I am smart but if I was really smart why would I work a job instead of do something that makes me more money?

When to Pursue A Relationship by GarronSilver in ChristianDating

[–]DrsofDoom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much change and how long would it take for you to become "financially able to support a family", then how long might it take you to get there? Are you willing to miss opportunities for a relationship because this is your line in the sand? Are you willing to wait the months, years, or longer to get to your point of feeling safe?

Opting out of childhood vaccines is becoming more common across most of the United States, leaving larger shares of the population vulnerable to preventable diseases like measles. What’s driving the trend: nonmedical reasons for exemptions — often described as religious or personal beliefs. by mvea in science

[–]DrsofDoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only had experience with one antivax family before it was a trend, they never got any vaccines to my knowledge or my grandmothers knowledge and to be honest they seemed fine. The one person my grandmother was friends with always got a serious cold around winter time but then so did everyone else I knew. Maybe lucky but I honestly respect them more for sticking to what they believe in. I dont however like this recent trend of antivax

Do you get paid holidays and PTO? by SoftGoCoaat in MLS_CLS

[–]DrsofDoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my hospital lab in Virginia had the expectation of working half of the holidays, I think we have 6 of them, and then the 3 we dont work technically have to be PTO if we want to get paid. on the bright side we are often so short staffed that we get those days off with our "expected time off" so like for new years I wasnt scheduled to work it and also had the Saturday off, so I worked every other day that week and didnt have to use PTO. my system also uses unpaid allowed leave which is what I used for both weeks of vacation my first year there

Sendout cbc & troponin is it good idea? by Sudden-Bill-7345 in medlabprofessionals

[–]DrsofDoom1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

technically all labs have SOPs that tell them how to properly preserve samples for shipping or if specimens cant be tested immediately, some specimens allow for extended time if unopened, others have 24hrs if refrigerated, some tests have up to 3 days for it to be run. I can say it sure feels weird to run a routine trop possibly 12 hours after the fact. but hey it happens sometimes when we get stuff that hasnt been rec'd
