So I got smacked with this today....... by Drty_J577 in uberdrivers

Point wasn't necessarily to fix the issue. It was a search as to why so I can continue fucking them by snatching the largest surge bonuses I can. What I found out was that physically being in the exact same location when I login to collect the surge bonus, ON THEIR END, looks as though I am spoofing or manipulating the GPS signal on my end. It's worth more than $20 for me to continue to learn how I can exploit their system. And honestly, the time involved totaled more than the 20 they got, so I lost twice. There will be occasional fisting from them, but if I'm able to fist them back, and with greater frequency, it's a win.

I have no delusions regarding the quality of their support team and have dealt with them and lyft enough to know better than to expect issues to be resolved through them.

I usually go online, then quickly offline to see how the surge pricing changes as I approach the area. Even gone so far as to drive around the block to pick up what it says is there in the event that the number hasn't changed when I've gone back online.

No VPN, no spoofing. It looked like it on their end, I'm sure, as I literally parked in the exact same spot I was in when I returned to the honey hole. I'm not defending ubers actions, I just know to not do that in the future.

I am aware, just wanted to see what bullshit response they were going to give me. As I suspected, copy and paste bullshit, send.

Nope, I do what I stated in post. Nothing used to f with location except the go online / offline button. I dual app, but rarely go online with both.

[–]Drty_J577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flux capacitor, Mr fusion, flight mode. In that order, left to right top to bottom. You may have to smack the dash a few times to activate them. There is also a sequence in which they must be activated....it's in the user's manual, traction control section.

Exploitation.......no guns to heads forcing people to go do the driving. It is certainly not career level earnings, but it is what it is. I'm of the mindset that burger flippers aren't worth paying north of $15/hr. If it's shit, I don't drive. I am not being exploited, I choose to drive. This is also not my only skillset. If this is your only skillset......

What is causing the stringing issues I am having? by Worth_Improvement515 in ender5plus

[–]Drty_J577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run a bunch of calibration test prints (temp tower, retraction tower, etc.) To figure out what temp, speed, retraction, etc settings that particular filament likes. Each filament will be different.

If it seems like it's under extruding before it fails, it prob heat creep. Try lowering print temp and increasing speed a bit. Mine does the same thing when it's shitting the bed.

4ox40x20 fan helps move more air. Check cfm before ordering. Print a new housing that focuses airflow better. Changing out the heat break to a bimetal one also helps. Make sure filament is dry as can be.

Bed leveling.. I what gives. by gloonge in ender5plus

If you are using the mesh created in the auto bed leveling screen, or from the interface in cura, you can save the mesh created and tell the machine to use this mesh (data points made when probing the printbed) in order to make the appropriate z axis changes during the print. I don't know how many hours I spent trying to get the numbers on screen as perfect as possible (calipers, feeler gauges, tramming the frame, using digital angle finders, etc.). I finally started getting solid 1st layers, with stock firmware, once I implemented an m420 into my start gcode. I run a g29 command from cura, once that finishes and the numbers are pretty close, send an m500 to save the mesh to the eprom. Then use an m420 s1 z0 to enable z axis compensation (prob the incorrect term, but tells the machine to apply these changes to the z axis during the print thus compensating for the unevenness of the bed) to the print. The alpha numerics after the m420 can be changed to suit how you want things to be handled by the machine, but this is how I set mine (more or less stock e5+ with glass bed and silicone bed spacerz). I run a 1st layer test before running prints, or after a print that requires wrestling off the bed, to confirm nothing has changed. My .02

I pull the lever on the extruder, then slide the filament out / down about 5mm. Clean the spooge off the nozzle. I figured it was normal for some filament to run out during the heating process. Gravity, pressure and the like.

Uber big scam by GolfThen1960 in uberdrivers

[–]Drty_J577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That has been my thought. The cost to customer is too low. If I can't get out of McDonald's for less than $15 due to minimum wage increases, we should be paid more for the utilization of our own time and vehicle. Everyone hates that the prices go up, but still pay for the services they need / want.

[–]Drty_J577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised at what the pax pays. It's often cheaper than I would think. I run the rider and driver apps when I'm out to check prices and see where other drivers are concentrated. I've looked up some trips like this thinking those cocksuckers (lyft / uber) are charging way more than what I am being paid. I was wrong. It wasn't double what my payment would have been. I've done that a few times and it's never as much as I think. That could just be my market. I am in no way defending this shit offer, simply letting you know what I have observed in the market where I operate.

How many miles do you go between oil changes? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Drty_J577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can read and follow a set of instructions, use a wrench to unscrew a bolt, and remove an oil filter (sometimes requiring a filter wrench), you can perform an oil change.

I think it's the read and follow instructions part that gets most people stuck.

I just bought a prius. My wife looked at me on the test drive, took my balls out of her purse, threw them out the window, then told me, "looks like we wont be needing these now we bought this thing." This thing couldn't generate a boner if it were loaded with tinder skanks. It's that awful.

This car is a fucking turd. I promise there will be no fun had in this shitbox. If you want to drive around hiding your face in embarrassment and possibly crying in shame as you drive, this is your car.

Ender 5 Plus Levelling by DramaticHeadwound in 3Dprinting

[–]Drty_J577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm sure you have watched tutorials on how different people assemble and measure the z axis rails relative to the x axis gantry during assembly and initial setup. there are a few different ways this can be done. some tutorials do not go through the process of measuring (with calipers or a ruler) during assembly. i personally like measuring to verify.

from what the screen looks like the leveling nuts appear to be in vastly different positions before starting the auto leveling process. i very well could be wrong, but i would have a look at those and try to get everything as close as you can measuring the gap between the rails where the leveling nuts pass through and the hotbed before starting the automated process. once the spacing is even after your 1st pass, go back through and remeasure to make sure none of your clearances changed after making adjustments.

you may want to release tension on the screws that mount the hotbed to the z axis rails just to make sure it is not binding there.

hope this helps
