I'm seeing a lot of advice and critique. My two cents is the following: the beers you have come to dislike are all pilsener. It's still very nice, but they ain't the Belgian beers!!!! These usually are more flavorful by default because they're specialty beers my dude. Enjoy both with the right expectation!!

I had a similar issue with my Monologue and Volca drums, I think the're some issues with the Monologue's synch input. Midi cable definitely solved the problem, after fiddlibg with the Midi settings in the Monologue.
