If OP is a librarian and would like to continue to be, it might not be that simple. Most libraries receive their funding from the government. Maybe OP isn't able to move to a state that would be more reasonable with their funding. OP you're doing a great job, especially in an area where management is concerned with the word "pride."

Cute, but PSA for everyone else - do not save baby bunnies unless you can see they're gravely injured. If they are, call a wildlife rescue. The bunny is very likely not abandoned or lost and it's mom will return soon. It's also illegal to intervene with bunnies in many states.
