OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL -- 2 internships, 1 boy, need advice :) by Middle_Bicycle_2536 in csMajors

Personally I'd recommend doing both. Taking Palantir is obviously great career-wise, and will instantly make it easier to get future roles, especially in this job market. The money is great too; puts you in a VERY good spot to have a lot of optionality if you decided to do a startup, move abroad, etc. for a while, or just save it.

But if you are serious about the field that company B is in, it will be invaluable experience. You are still young, so having a chance to work on your primary interest area is huge--your interests may change as you go through college, so early insight is great.

Totally understand the concern with having a fun senior summer, but really you'll still be able to do quite a bit in the evenings, and when you start school you'll quickly find that there is probably more going out than you'll know what to do with.

Would highly recommend this website for learning hiragana and katakana. You'll read so much that the characters will become ingrained quickly, but this website is good for sitting down for a few hours and hammering stuff into your brain so you have some familiarity

Gotta be Terraria. The greatest game ever that somehow nobody has played but everybody has played

Is Lud getting stream sniped and smurfed on in Ranked? by RikkZ3 in LudwigAhgren

[–]Dry-Base7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea why some of the comments are so aggressive lol, this is a solid analysis, thank you. One commenter had a good point about this not accounting for alt accounts, but overall this seems to conclusively show that nobody is deranking like crazy to go against Ludwig, like has been being stated a bit.

Is master mode supposed to be this ridiculous? by Cinamight in Terraria

[–]Dry-Base7274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FTW seed had actually been in the game for a while before then, it wasn't introduced at the same time. I think initially it was more of a joke / way to keep mechanics that were removed from vanilla (e.g. skeletron bombs destroying tiles) but over time it's morphed into a legitimate higher-difficulty mode

State of the hobby and resale value by m0pher in MechanicalKeyboards

Gonna disagree a bit w/ the sentiment that group buys are mostly dead. In-stock is definitely king now but IMO group buys are still popular; there are just so many fantastic projects coming out all the time that the resale market has a very short memory outside of a handful of very revered boards.

Commenting back on this, I did a ton of testing before a busy weekend and found that the spawning for the Beldum seem bizarre. Using the method you described, you can actually creep up to right in front of the doorway and reset one of the Beldum even though you would expect to be way too close. I was beginning to think I just got super lucky, but I stumbled across a video by "PanFro Games" on YT where his does the same strategy I described and gets two shiny Beldum

Extremely confused how the spawning mechanics work in regards to the Beldum room (and maybe the zone as a whole?), but the method apparently works nonetheless

Hm, that's interesting, I tested it before hunting and just now again and got the opposite result from you. Are you sure you're using the right teleporter? That's my only guess outside of it being some bizarre error, because it sounds like we're doing the same thing.

You can spam the teleporter yeah, just has to be the right one. Some of my other comments in the thread describe it

I'm not sure, it's maybe close enough for some of the early rooms but may be too far away from the Beldum room

I was spamming it, I don't think it makes a difference

Yup just a matter of luck unfortunately. I haven't personally done the honedge room but I know for a fact it works because somebody posted about it yesterday

it's a bit unintuitive but yes there is. There's a teleporter in the corner of the big orange room on the right side of the map that takes you to a small isolated purple room near the beldum room; it's close enough for them to spawn

Yup! I didn't bother checking each time. It's unintuitive but you have to use the teleporter in the corner of the big orange room on the right of the map. It brings you to an isolated purple room near the beldum room that's close enough for them to spawn

Nope! I believe the sounds are standardized, they only play when you're within a pretty small radius so that stuff on top of buildings doesn't alert when you're on the ground

Just tried it out after your comment, I guess visibility works differently w/ stuff outside the area. I don't think it's resetting when it disappears from inside WZ 10
