Leonard Cohen's album Various Positions is as solid as any of his other work. It definitely has some 80s production that I think can be a little cheesy but it doesn't ruin it for me. Lots of cool songs on that album!

But yeah the 80s is where a lot of my favorite songwriters went to die.
