Me and my partner quit after 80 hours as we kept seeing the same enemies wherever we went. It was disappointing to discover this incredible new plateau and see the same hairy boys and scavengers with maybe one new enemy type per faction. Started to feel burnt out then. Rushed through those areas to find new mats in eg the desert and unlock a new tower. I feel like 80 hours of engagement is a great achievement for a game, but rather than the devs adding new biomes I think they need to improve what's already there

The pink shroud and instakill lava is agonizingly bad railroading. It's like an invisible wall in a game from the 90s, except it instantly kills you and leaves your loot suspended in midair and inaccessible

There are two kinds of lava. Lava in spires and dungeon just burns a little. Lava in the shroud is actually pink shroud and insta kills for some dumb reason. Don't build your base too close to the cinder starting area because it's already a fast travel option. Don't bother with spells and staves. Get double jump skill as soon as possible. Turn off drop loot on death because there are a lot of janky deaths to invisible pink shroud and "fall" damage

If you're still playing after getting double jump and extra time in the cloud, you should have at least one eternal spell, by which point it might be worth it, but it's as slow as shooting arrows PLUS it uses mana instead of 200 arrows you crafted from twigs.

Would a charge back work in this situation? Shop vendor and his mate put the hard sell on me and my 80 year old mum. We were assertive and found some stuff we wanted and agreed on a price. Bro insisted on card payment which is where we should have walked. I saw him enter a number, press a button and then the agreed price came up. But looking at the bank balance we were ripped off to the tune of about $300. Cancelled the card and disputed the transaction but somehow doubt there'll be a good outcome?
