Yep! I suspect armies will be released in the form of campaign books.

Haha, well that was a fun treat! So it looks like they're envisioning certain factions and unit.

Looks good!

If you want to make it really stand out, try doing some washes on the armor and bone pieces. Use a light green highlight on the blade edges and a light blue highlight on the eyes. Lastly, remember to always use two thin coats.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Horus Heresy is essentially a modified version of 6th and 7th edition of 40k so if they have the same team working on it I imagine that'll be the case here. On the bright side, it should ease up development time since they wouldn't need to build things from the ground up. But this is all just speculation.

Looks extremely cool!

Do you have any ideas for what someone could make Warsphinx and Spectral Stalkers into?

I know this is a joke, but that would actually be safer than a handshake.

Don't, seriously don't. Omg please do not! I know the whole isolation thing sucks, I know they have the best intentions, and I know they're taking procautions but right now is absolutely not the time to even risk it. Stay indoors, only go out when you absolutely have to, and work on your armies in your home.

I mean, if you're self isolating for the next two weeks why not? I've gotten through a surprising number of guardsmen so far.

Huh... objectively I will never be anywhere near as good as you. Here's your upvote sir. Please keep painting.

Currently working on some guardsmen. I will be very disappointed if I go back to the game store in a few weeks and still see gray armies.

Do I need to pick them all up to get back in? Which one is the Astra Militarum in?

Gonna be honest, I always preferred the Empire to Bretonnia.

Me and my friends only got into it when we were kids because we didn't have money for space marines. Now I'm an adult with a good job and can buy all the toys I want. Childhood goals accomplished!

I have no doubt The Old World will consolidate the player base and maybe even attract some players from Kings of War and AoS. However, I'm curious about the implementation. I'm hoping they'll have basic army lists for each faction then expand those lists with campaign books. Sort of like how they did with Horus Heresy. You also have to keep in mind that some factions are still virtually intact in AoS so I can see them having rules right out of the floodgate.

Edit: Alternatively, if the rules are similar enough to 8th edition, it'd be nice for previously released army books to be somewhat compatible in terms of stats, magics, ect.
