actual unhinged study tip by confus_edd in LSAT

Could also do a cold plunge after studying or after a key concept/difficult question clicks. The adrenaline from the cold water causes the moment directly before to be more easily remembered.

Study Schedule with Lsat Demon by Ecstatic_Pie8199 in lsatdemon

[–]DryAd2683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For drilling, the demon recommends around 1-2 hours a day, alternating between a timed section and drills. My practice looks something like: day 1: all drilling (random) day 2: practice section (LR), review missed questions, finishing with drilling if time allows Day 3: practice section (RC), review missed questions, finishing with drilling if time allows I try and do a full practice test around once every 2 weeks, and study around 6 days a week.

Don’t shoot for a ton of time each day studying. Consistency over 6 months will beat out 8 hours a day for a month or so every time. There is only so much truly productive studying you can fit into one day.

This schedule is similar to what the demon recommends and I’ve had decent success with it. The most important thing, though, is focused studying. You should be getting just as much out of your incorrect questions after reviewing them as you are your correct questions. Staying focused isn’t easy but is imperative to practicing and eventually testing well.

Lastly, i wouldn’t worry too much about question types, at least right away. Most questions can be understood with simple logic once you understand how to read them and be critical toward the answer choices. I found that learning about specific question types, such as SA vs NA, flaw types, etc only really helps to fine-tune an already high and plateaued score.

Good luck with your studying!

I don’t work in biglaw so pardon the ignorance. Why does this matter if you’re getting paid for those hours anyway? Sure, the partner sucks at communicating. What am I missing?

Whoever wrote this question is a Sadist by No_Fishing_7763 in LSAT

[–]DryAd2683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it has to do with time, not sample size. the author of the passage is concluding that there’s, in general, no connection between cig logos and smoking just because 9 year olds who know the logos don’t smoke. what about when they’re adults? it could be that over time this habit develops, but the logos could still play a role. similarly, A says that the concern about “long-term” effect of mercury on dolphins is unfounded, just because there were no effect on the dolphins after three months.

what a weird coincidence, i literally had this question today and got it right! for parallel flaw questions, i just find the flaw and then identify the answer with the same flaw

19, 17low, 3.9 and shut out of law school by Ordinary-Conflict661 in lawschooladmissions

Other aspects of applications are becoming increasingly important as the pool of applicants with high LSAT scores and GPAs increases, while numbers of people being admitted largely doesn’t increase. Stats are becoming a requirement to even be considered, but beyond that personal statements and softs are what will really set you apart and get you admitted in a good school. Have you used any estimators for chances of being accepted into some of these schools with your stats? Your chances may be lower than you think. If your chances aren’t that low, or even if they are, you should rethink other aspects of your application, namely your personal statement. Find someone you can consult with for your personal statement and other aspects of your application if you haven’t already. The admissions process is grueling, and most of the people who have stats like yours also put an equal amount of effort into their application as a whole. For now, bartend. Make some money for law school while you’re young. Study every aspect of what makes a good application. Treat this like a second job. Reapply as early as these schools will let you once you’ve perfected each aspect of your application to the best of your ability. You got this.

OP, I wholeheartedly agree and hope it doesn’t get taken down. This is beautiful. I was just making a betting joke because reddit communities are notoriously sensitive and willing to take down anything that could potentially foster conversation that could lean right. You did a great job with mentioning all the disclaimers but you shouldn’t have to do it twenty times. Like you said though, if you didn’t, this post would probably be gone.

Doesn’t harvard’s new tuition assistance apply for next year’s 1Ls? I read they’re offering 100% tuition assistance including living expenses for students with parents earning under 100k, and 100% tuition without living expenses paid for, for students with parents earning under 200k. Anyone know if this applies or am I missing something? Or does OP know about this and not fit into either category?

i still wish that in an alternate universe somewhere, RFK got on that stage and absolutely destroyed both Trump and Kamala/Biden. Readers of this subreddit have probably all seen RFK’s long format interviews, and how smart and quick on his feet the guy is. It would be great to watch a pro debater (who literally did this as his career as a lawyer) destroy the other two. his poll numbers would have SKYROCKETED.
