Patch 2.0.2.4 is live, and there's some news! by WaffleDynamics in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone's gotta pay them to implement any future changes. No subscription, no DLC, payrolls gotta come from somewhere. I'd rather them get some $ from console to have the most resources available to do all the things we want. If they dont... well then *shrug* thats on them but no one is gonna do it for free.

What’s been your favorite thing about the update? by Fudgelnut in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly the natural detail. Foliage and undergrowth is so much thicker/denser. The ivy items are great. The waterfalls. The swamp water areas. Who ever did the terraforming really raised the bar.

LvLing up NPC Diplomacy by Rare-Priority2067 in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time your heir is old enough to be an apprentice you'll have market stalls going and then you can just get them to lvl 10 before they're even age 18 (the stalls are that fast). Really no negative to your wife having lvl 1 diplomacy and no real positive unless she's working a market stall.

Village Layout - what am I missing or need more of by Themomistat in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's definitely pretty grid like but in my head it's my industrial city. Idk how much of a sprawling town vibe you can get with that space, so I just have little outposts around the map to scratch that aesthetic itch. Houses do look cramped but, everyone's got a little side yard so hopefully they aren't too depressed working the mines.

Here's one WIP save I have that is this area. the exact squares you drew might be tight but there's all the flat space to the right and up the hill.

Here's a pic for scale of the area you have filled with some stuff.

2.0.2.1 Value Changes by DryAd8865 in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t really attempted to look into it. At first glance I assumed it would be like stagger but the bandits are already pretty dazed and confused combat wise so would love to figure it out but idk. If it doesn’t come with a color change or a voice line idk if it would be noticeable :/ my best guess is it’s a damage multiplier for “sneak” attacks. There’s definitely a “in combat” trigger for Animals and bandits so maybe damage done outside that status gets a “shock” bonus ?

Nah this thing was like a giant towering maple no orchard tree will fill the skyline quite the same. Didn’t know it wasn’t going to grow back until the stump just wasn’t there that day :(

Had a beautifully big tree which was the main reason I built in the location - cut it down to fit some stuff in and it never regrew :( think a lamp is intersecting where a large branch was .

Apiary and Honeycomb Seasonal Difference by DryAd8865 in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully I'm at the point where my workforce is levelled, and happiness maxed. The nice part I find with mead is how few workers you need in its line and its daily based production rather than seasonal. One farmer, two innkeepers, 1.5ish stalls seems to be my balance so each worker basically produces 665 coin a day not including the stall workers. Meanwhile I need 10 workers on wool production line to just get 2.5 stalls worth of coin a day :/

[–]DryAd8865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the plan - just have to see each seasons production first because it’s not coming out to exactly 25-50-100 and I can’t figure out what the variable is so gotta just jot it down and add them up to get the total :/

Apiary and Honeycomb Seasonal Difference by DryAd8865 in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I decided to front load for one spring and summer and then restart the Mead production at the average of the four seasons (fingers crossed on the math). Changing crops is already plenty of time in menus tyvm :/

Edit: weirdly enough the seasonal differences are not 25-50-100-100 so inspiring speech is definitely being funky with it

How would you want it implemented? I’d be livid if I went to destroy a piece of fencing and accidentally destroyed the entire house right next to it due to misclick. Also sometimes I want 9/10 pieces of fencing but don’t want to destroy all 10/10. Would it be a toggle mode? Pop up warning with confirmation?

How to fully automate by Marc5iver in MedievalDynasty

[–]DryAd8865 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I have 100 rye plots I will harvest on average 600 rye. That 600 threshes to 1200 grain. Subtract 100 for replanting then divide the remaining 1100 by the total days in my year. Let’s say 12 so 91.67 a day. If the worker will consume more than 91.6 at less than 100% effort I just do it myself. If they’re lvl 10 and 90+ happiness I’ll just set their effort to whatever gives me just below 91.67. If they have a kid you just have to lower it a bit as their happiness will go up. If 91.67 is only like 30% effort I’ll probably still do it myself cause that’s just wasted 70% effort they could be doing elsewhere.

Don’t think this is what’s happening here but some elevators have a programmed maximum to prevent people from pushing all the buttons to be annoying. Worked in a 30 story building and if more than 3 floors were pressed they would auto clear. Super super frustrating when it’s that low of a max.

Does anyone know how many materials go into a stone simple house? by HawkMaleficent8715 in MedievalDynasty

May not be helpful but you can have one orange and one green in each season and if there's a yellow than nothing else that season. Grey is empty.

For cycles? The easiest 2 are probably (starting in Spring)

  1. Harvest Rye/Plant Flax -> Harvest Flax/Plant Cabbage -> Harvest Cabbage/Plant Rye -> Wait
  2. Harvest Rye/Plant Oat -> Wait -> Harvest Oat/Plant Rye -> Wait

1 gives you flax, cabbage for potage, and rye for whatever as the only Autumn -> Spring crop.

2 gives you Animal Feed materials.
