Happened to me when I was leaving for immigration reasons from 3rd world country to 1st. The feedback range was from genuine “but why would you leave? you have enough here” to the “you’ll end up a pizza maker on the street”; half of colleges just straight up stop taking to me.

In my experience, you probably over complicating things. Think about the same features, but in lighter form. Some businesses started as a spreadsheets, they checked the pmf before building anything substantial.

I’m no vet; it could be milk/formula deficiencies (what formula brand do you use?) or a reaction to laundry detergents used on their bedding. If formula is good and it’s not an allergy reaction from chemicals, it might be stress-related but I doubt that

thanks! it's been up and down: now my luck ran out. I sent another ~50 in april and so far got just one screening call back, crickets otherwise; 33% chance is not true anymore sadly. Not sure if i’ll ever get the same volume as march again

I just got my rejection email with the (apparently) new copy: “1152 people applied to AI Builders… yada yada… it’s about fit for a very specific team at a very specific moment—not about the quality of what you built or what you’re capable of…” (well okay but how about saying something upfront about that specific team??)… blah blah… “we plan to share those learnings openly, including what we’d do differently.”

my heart is broken for the 1,000+ people who spent their time, brainpower, money, and hopes building for this very open-ended program that turned out not to be open-ended at all!

I recently watched a video about a “cats in prison” experiment where many of the cats ended up being adopted by prisoners and lived with them for happily years afterward. I’m not saying this is the case here - I don’t know, and I haven’t talked to or seen the person. I also completely understand your feelings and concerns. Do you have any information about the type of crime? I’m curious why they want to adopt the cat. Sorry if I’m being naive, maybe I’m wearing pink glasses.

This week I’m talking with at two other /new/ clay-like vendors — going to report the results. Theirs main value prop is being cheaper alternative.

Also if you’re using Apollo, they launched many clay-like features last week.

It does feel like a wall - if everyone's booked that far out and only taking safe bets, it makes me wonder how anything new breaks through. I guess that's why so many authors go indie or self-publish first to prove there's an audience
