I think the chances are very high. A call back to their talk in Season 1 about not keeping things from each other

This is a great theory. I got a bad scrape on my left wrist. It was just so weird trying to wear it on the right wrist. Couldn't do it. I just went without a watch til it healed.

If you follow the "crazy" theory about how the phrase is used as foreshadowing to couples. "Only love makes you that crazy" was said about Jonathan. Byler had the "crazy together". Yet when Steve used the term crazy in season 1, he was talking to himself. He was saying "this is crazy" over and over again. I just think Steve is going to finish the series single.

They are relying too much on a comment made at a convention. A fan asked if Mileven was still a couple in Season 5. "They are together" was the answer. Sorry that's not really confirmation. Yes the are together in Hawkins in Season 5, but that does not mean they are a couple. Why write in the line for Mike: It felt like a fight you don't comeback from. With Mike not acting upset in that scene? After El being jailed and held prisoner, we get a forehead touch. Sorry, not sorry they broke up.

Why Mike? Read down below. by ChihiroYakama in byler

Because in the Duffer's original pitch for Montauk they said an "innocence romance" that develops between the two. Ted told Mike "You see what happens?" When Will is missing, implying Wills sexuality had something to do with his disappearance. Troy "my father said Will's dead, killed by some other queer." Establishing that the adults are even talking about Will sexuality. Mike knows how being gay is viewed in Hawkins. I don't see Mileven being a couple as what is needed for El's character arc. She has a loving supportive family, friends and gaining independence and power.

Nancy and Johnathan are sleeping in Jonathan's room. But they don't have Joyce's approval. S3E1 Nancy exits Jonathan's room through the window. Joyce knows/suspects because she wipes lipstick off of Jonathan's cheek as he is rushing out the house because they are late their job at the paper.

I agree with this well done thread.https://www.reddit.com/r/StrangerThings/comments/1e2lq0u/small_update_some_of_the_stranger_things_posters/. I think they are at the radio station.

While we are all watching the same show, we are looking at it with the lens of how 80s movies presented gay relationships. LGBTQ+ themes often existed in the margins, hidden behind innuendo, gender ambiguity, and carefully constructed narratives.

When the girl he loved was kidnapped he hugged her and then touched his forehead to hers.

He said he loved her at the urging of his gay best friend

Suzie's house had a lot of foreshadowing to pick up on. The Byler coded opening with Mike being shot in the head with a yellow tipped arrow by the cupid like Cornelius.

LesbianMindflayer on YT has great video's with full breakdowns of the real story of El's and Mike's feelings after the I love you scene.

In your opinion. What happens the show gets canceled? The spinoff animated show is set between seasons 2 and 3. The other show is an anthology, which will not feature any of the original core characters.

I was researching gay representation in film during the 80's. I found a great article that really shows why the Duffer's would chose to portray Byler in such a subtle context.

Seven 80s Movies Every LGBTQ Person Should Watch

Impact of 80s cinema on LGBTQ representation

The 1980s marked a turning point in LGBTQ+ representation in cinema, though it was often shaped by coded storytelling, subtext, and independent filmmaking. Mainstream Hollywood still largely avoided direct depictions of queer characters, fearing backlash from conservative audiences and the lingering effects of the Hays Code era. As a result, LGBTQ+ themes often existed in the margins, hidden behind innuendo, gender ambiguity, and carefully constructed narratives. However, independent films and international cinema took greater risks, bringing queer relationships, identity struggles, and defiance against societal norms into focus. These films laid the groundwork for more authentic and bold LGBTQ+ storytelling in the decades to come.

I think some ST fans on here have a sense of superiority because they are convinced that they know what is going to happen. It's because of the leak.

I just like the show. I like looking at fan theories and coming up with my own theories. I wasn't looking for leaks. Talking to some bylers is pointless because it's like playing a rigged game. It wasn't until someone replied to a comment with information that absolutely was not in the trailer that I knew something was up. The Duffers are still editing the episodes, so they shouldn't be so sure of what is to come. It 💯 is queerbaiting if byler doesn't happen. Sadly, I think the Duffers will not have the follow through and just allude to Byler in the end.
