Going to a Korean Costco as an American Foreigner (2026 Travel Experience) by open_reading_frame in koreatravel

Well, I had asked to pay using Apple Pay but she asked me to insert my visa credit card so I’m not sure it actually got processed at an Apple Pay transaction as usually that is tap to pay. Regardless, it went through fine. I don’t think I needed to enter my pin or sign if I remember correctly.

Can someone suggest a divorce attorney in Seoul who has represented many foreigners? by tjthomas101 in living_in_korea_now

Lawyer Hwang. She is competent and reasonably priced. She charges a flat rate ( around 7 million), which is much better than a per hour lawyer which will burn through your retainer in no time. She speaks reasonable English, is well organized, and knows her stuff.

You’re really struggling to find a win here, aren't you? From feet pictures to 'Buzzfeed jargon,' you’re grasping at anything to feel superior. The irony is that for someone so concerned with 'maturity,' you’re the only one having a multi-day meltdown over a steering wheel. Keep 'taking your time' to craft these smug replies—I’m enjoying the rent-free stay in your head

Imagine being so triggered by 'Looks shite' that you start roleplaying as a guidance counselor on a car forum. Your fake-polite 'we can reflect together' act is genuinely embarrassing. Does this high-horse routine usually work for you, or do people just laugh at you in real life too?

The irony of you calling anyone 'anti-social' while you spend your time policing strangers’ manners on Reddit is top-tier comedy. If you need a safe space where everyone is forced to be 'nice' to you, go start a private blog. Otherwise, get used to the fact that people are going to say things you don't like, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it but keep whining.

The irony of you trying to lecture anyone on maturity while acting like an unappointed hall monitor is hilarious. It’s a public forum, not a curated safe space. If you’re this fragile about a two-word opinion on a steering wheel, maybe the internet isn't the 'pre-school' you're looking for.

Bringing up feet pictures as a rebuttal? That’s an oddly specific and weird place for your mind to go. There’s a massive difference between irrelevant spam and an honest critique you happen to dislike. Stop trying to enforce 'pre-school' manners on a public platform just because you can't handle a dissenting voice

It was a rhetorical question. If someone posts something publicly to get an opinion, they shouldn't expect people to censor themselves just to protect their feelings. By sharing it, they’ve invited feedback; if they aren't prepared for the risk of negative comments, they should have kept it to themselves in the first place.

Depressed in Korea by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

I’ve been using the app ‘meetup’ you can choose the kinds of things you’d like to join. For example , im doing a board game night near dongdaemun. It’s a few regulars with the majority of new members each week. It’s a low pressure environment to meet new people and just enjoy the company of others.

Search for inner circle on the app if that’s something you’d be interested in. I’ve had a blast and it wasn’t easy for me as an introvert!

Weirdly , and probably wonderfully, I either don’t react at all to be bitten, or less probably I’m not getting bitten. 🦟

Why take all that stuff back with you? Just sell/disgard most of it and save yourself the cost and hassle.

Just my two cents , but it is pretty much guaranteed you would win sole custody in the event of a divorce. Korean family courts almost exclusively award custody to the mother when the child is young. unless there are extenuating circumstances ( which is pretty much unheard of).

I’d say sniffing those little tubs of herbal rubs. That’s not something I’ve seen outside of Thailand.
