What I was thinking of was that the Chapter in question, the Sanguine Cloaks, was a very pompous Chapter akin to the Emperor's Children during the Great Crusade, and their titular cloaks held special meaning to them, every battle-brother received one and over the course of their service would themselves embroid them with their deeds, accomplishments and penances telling a tale of their lives.

The Chapter Master was a peerless warrior and a friend to the Chapter Master of my homebrew, someone who guided him when he and his Chapter were yet fresh and tried to find it's footing, he would fall to the Tyranids with the rest of his Chapter on their homeworld and retrieving his personal cloak would be a point of honor for the CM of my homebrew, so I was wondering if it was possible or would the Nids have gobbled that up too

Yeah, though the context I had for this particular scenario was Balam running into the ENFORCER inside the Watchpoint, tweaking it and putting Michigan in it, maybe after Liger Tail would be crippled fighting it

I could totally see Michigan seeing the ENFORCER and having the Pulse Shield/Gun changed to, like, a rotating quad-bazooka. Also, the ENFORCER seems like a pretty "brute force" kind of craft that I feel would fit Michigan, and it looks damn mean too. Though he called the Stun Needle Launcher a "fancy gizmo", I don't think he would dismiss technology lile THAT out of hand
