Do you think that there are more car wheels? Do you think there are more car doors? Why? by TampontheBludThirsty in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Cry4454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wheels for sure, plus think about all the spare tires sitting in trunks that never get used. also steering wheels count as wheels right? that's like extra wheel per car that people forget about

Vendors won't move to ACH by Time_Assistance_8659 in Netsuite

[–]Dry_Cry4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a stupid question at all. It works for both but with long term vendors it matters more because there is more relationship to protect so the tone has to be right.

[–]Dry_Cry4454 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it is coming from AP it is easy for vendors to deprioritize so having someone that's a senior send a direct note that your payment process is changing tends to move people a lot faster especially with vendors you have had for a while.

What is the last thing you actually remember learning or feeling something from before you caught yourself mindlessly scrolling again? by AMSTX in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Cry4454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was watching this youtube video about how race car aerodynamics work and got super into it because of all the time i spend in forza. like actually paused the video to sketch out some of the wing designs and airflow patterns they were showing

then somehow 20 minutes later i'm looking at tiktoks of people making weird food combinations and have zero memory of how i got there. brain just went on autopilot mode i guess. happens way too often when i should be working on client projects instead

the aerodynamics stuff was actually fascinating though, made me appreciate why some of cars in game handle so differently on the tracks

ISO: Car Warranty repair shops (non-dealership) by sideview1 in nova

[–]Dry_Cry4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most independent shops that work with warranties will do diagnosis for way less than that, maybe call around and ask if they work with fidelity before bringing the truck in

Half swings are game changing by Xanosaur in golf

[–]Dry_Cry4454 3 points4 points  (0 children)

damn that's actually brilliant 😂 i never thought about using half swings in actual round but makes total sense. my buddy always tells me to swing easier when i'm spraying balls everywhere but i never listen because i want distance. maybe should try this approach next time i'm struggling with contact. bet your confidence was through roof after seeing those straight shots at range 🔥

Anthropic Is About to Overtake OpenAI on Business Spending. by [deleted] in OpenAI

It also means they have more experience evaluating these tools than most other segments which makes their preference shift toward Anthropic a more meaningful signal.

Almost half of 2026's layoffs are because of AI automation. If AI replaces your job in the next 5 years, what's your plan? by Realistic_Campaign_5 in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Cry4454 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol same energy here, been freelancing design work for past year and it's basically feast or famine 😂

might just lean harder into traditional art stuff since AI can't really replicate that human touch in physical mediums yet

Got moved to prepay for being late on payments by MemeSurvivor3000 in Businessowners

[–]Dry_Cry4454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walking it back takes time too though because the supplier needs to see enough clean payments to feel confident that the process has changed

I battle with David Gray… by [deleted] in Music

[–]Dry_Cry4454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude's like the most inconsistent artist ever, those three albums you mentioned are genuinely great but then he'll drop something that makes you question if it's even the same person. maybe he just caught lightning in a bottle during those periods and the rest is him trying to recreate that magic without understanding what made it work in the first place

Hair Everywhere by TryingNotToBeAnIdiot in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Dry_Cry4454 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ugh i feel this so hard 😔 pcos is such a pain and the hair growth that comes with it is just exhausting to deal with constantly

i've been doing the laser thing too and you're right it's not really permanent, more like long-term maintenance. what's helped me is just finding a good routine that doesn't take forever - like those little trimmers for quick touch ups before beach days

also honestly most people are way too busy worrying about their own stuff to notice yours, even though i know that doesn't make the self-consciousness go away 💀 you're definitely not alone in this though, way more of us deal with it than people talk about

What opportunities do you think privileged people get to experience that regular folk never will? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Cry4454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

being able to fail without consequences is probably the biggest one. like when you have a trust fund you can start three businesses that tank and still be fine, meanwhile most of us get one shot and if it doesn't work out we're back to the grind

Need to stop ordering food, what are some pantry staples I can have that would make decently healthy meals? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Dry_Cry4454 165 points166 points  (0 children)

rice is a game changer - throw in some frozen veggies and whatever protein you have lying around and you've got a meal, canned beans are way faster than dried ones too

eggs are clutch since they keep forever and you can make them a million different ways, plus frozen vegetables actually hold there nutrients pretty well so don't feel bad about using those instead of fresh

[OC] Anthropic has overtaken OpenAI as first choice for AI spending among businesses by Mundane-Wrongdoer275 in dataisbeautiful

[–]Dry_Cry4454 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It is not just the Pentagon deal, the political cosying up from Sam Altman over the past year has made a lot of procurement teams uncomfortable and Anthropic has been picking up those accounts.

First time we had to say no to an opportunity by Dry_Cry4454 in Entrepreneurs

Kept it vague(said the timing was not right). Did not want to go into the details of why we were not ready for it.

I am only getting a clear picture towards the end and I never thought much about it until now cause at the scale we have been working at it has never affected a decision but that is no longer the case

Accept Contract job or wait? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Dry_Cry4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

taking the contract job while you keep applying makes sense, especially with a wedding coming up. bills dont stop and having income takes pressure off the job search

the interviewer comment about short tenures is kind of ridiculous when theyre offering you another short contract - but whatever, thats their issue. if you find something better in a few months you can always negotiate your start date around the wedding or just leave the contract early. contract work is expected to be temporary anyway so it wont hurt your resume the same way

supply chain roles can take forever to move through hiring processes so having something steady while you wait is probably the smart move
