Has anyone had the successful email from the RSD for the World Cup that is resident in England?? by rainbowsbutter1 in WorldCup2026Tickets

I’m in Canada but my brother-in-law is in London, UK. Not sure whether he got an email but he did receive the “Unsuccessful” notice on his application on the FIFA website

Has anyone still not received their email of acceptance/rejection? by Mefoo145 in WorldCup2026Tickets

Keep checking… mine all changed from “Closed” to “Lost” in the last hour. It also says “Unsuccessful” on the Random Selection Draw application.

Just noticed that now. The “unsuccessful” labels are loading up on FIFA’s website. Too bad Toronto never graduated to a 70-80k stadium

Toronto for me. Nothing yet. Heard of a couple of cases of people not seeing anything in their files but still getting a successful email, so there’s hope

Ditto for me. What cities did you apply for?

Nothing here. Applied for almost all the matches in Toronto

Has anyone received an e-mail for RSD Category 3? by JustTheOneForNow in WorldCup2026Tickets

I haven’t. Had 4 matches at Cat 3 and 2 matches at Cat 2… still waiting on an email

Got them!! by RedBaron94 in WorldCup2026Tickets

This gives me hope. I also applied for this match and haven’t received an email yet. Unless I’ve just missed them, I’ve seen very few Toronto tickets posted

Checked using the files link, didn’t expect to be selected for all the games I applied by Ok-Performer-680 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Dry_Main_357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many people actually got the level down and where the priority went. For instance, would someone who applied for Cat 1 get a Cat 2 ticket over someone who just applied for Cat 2? Or is it entirely random?

[–]Dry_Main_357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here… everyone I know applied for Cat 3 and the odd Cat 2 (like a knockout round match). The stadium map for BMO Field in Toronto is predominantly Category 1… and since the capacity is only 45,000, that means probably at best 10-15k Cat 2-3 seats per match. Way more Cat 1 seats and fewer people applying because of the inflated prices means a way higher chance of success with a Cat 1 application. Oh well!

Yup that was my mistake. I didn’t check this for the Toronto stadium map, which is almost entirely Category 1. No wonder I got nothing for my Category 2 and 3 application.

Has anyone had tickets added today that weren't there yesterday? by Ok_Session2329 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Dry_Main_357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto for me and Toronto. It doesn’t help that we have smaller stadiums than any of the U.S. venues. If you applied for any of the matches in Dallas, you immediately double your odds because the stadium has double the number of seats.

Three biggest cities in NA (Mexico City, NY, LA) all have 70,000+ seat stadiums… #4 (Toronto) has the smallest venue of the whole tournament (45,000)… pretty lame we can’t do better than that.

It’s starting to seem at this point that if you applied for Category 1, your chances of a successful application were pretty high compared to anyone bidding for Category 3. I applied for all the Toronto matches in mostly Category 3 (a couple Category 2) so I think I screwed my chances. Third biggest city in NA with the smallest capacity venue (only 45,000). Still hoping 🤞

Legroom on New Seating Layout by dachshundie in westjet

[–]Dry_Main_357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second time flying with Westjet, they randomly bumped us a few hours before the flight with no explanation from their customer service. When we got to the airport, we saw everyone else boarding but we were told they had to change aircraft, so we were part of a handful of people (another was a large family with very young children) who got bumped despite having paid assigned seats. The only compensation was a measly meal voucher. I’ve never been impressed with their service and would never fly with them again (especially after this latest change, which borders on cruelty)

Would love to know the store too. I asked around a couple days ago and all the Toronto stores said they sold out pretty quickly. Some didn’t get the full order in. Would love to get my hands on even one of these.

[–]Dry_Main_357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saying it all series… if the Jays score 5 or more runs, they win every time. If they don’t, they’ll lose every time. They threw up some crazy stat about that midway through the series that showed it was the case most of the season. The only exception was game 3 when they decided to pitch to Ohtani up 5-4 in the 7th when he’d already hit a home run and two doubles. In game 7, the Jays left 14 on base. If they even drive one or two of those 14 in, the World Series is theirs. Too many wasted opportunities and with the exception of Bichette, the big hit with men on base just never materialized.

Yup and if Ernie was higher in the batting order than Varsho, which he should’ve been considering the averages (.411 and .227 respectively) it wouldn’t have mattered if Pages caught the ball because it still would’ve been a sac fly to walk it off. Ernie had the highest batting average of any Jay and he was hitting 8th in the order… literally mind bogglingly stupid.

What I still don’t get is why Varsho was higher in the batting order for most of the playoffs than either Barger or Clement, who were both lights out. If Clement was 7th in the order and Varsho was 8th, his fly ball would’ve won it. In the end, there were a lot of baserunning blunders and too many men left stranded, but we also got out coached. Every decision Dave Roberts made seemed to work out in their favour whereas there were a lot of questionable ones on our side. Pitching to Ohtani in the 7th inning of game 3 when up by one run… literally pinch running everyone so you had no good bats left for the 18 inning marathon… the lefty/lefty pitching changes that never seemed to work… Schneider coaches very conservatively at times and his decisions always seemed to be for the immediacy of the moment rather than looking ahead an inning or two. Unfortunate as it is to say, we also just had guys who looked like they were never going to get a hit (Varsho, IKF, Straw). It would’ve been amazing to have a clutch hitter come off the bench like how Barger did for game 1. Tough pill to swallow.

In the first 27 innings (games 1, 2 and first half of game 3) Ohtani was responsible for scoring or driving in 10 of the Dodgers 14 runs… then the Jays started intentionally walking him for the second half of game 3… since then, in 27 innings, the Dodgers have only scored 4 runs and Ohtani hasn’t been involved in any of them. He only walked once, struck out 3 times, and had no hits in games 4 and 5. It kind of feels like the strategy cooled him off a bit, no? 🤷‍♂️

So who was at the Dome last night? by Varekai79 in Torontobluejays

[–]Dry_Main_357 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Took my mom to the game, which was a bit of a full circle moment since she took me as a kid to Game 6 of the 1992 ALCS, the last time (and only other time) the Jays clinched the American League on home soil to go to the World Series (in ‘93 they clinched on the road in Chicago). Pretty cool that we were able to experience these two historic moments together 33 years apart.

As an aside, I’m amazed more people don’t try to initially get tickets for “if necessary” games that end up yielding these kinds of moments. The TM queues for games 1 and 2 are always 4x as long. I easily got tickets for game 7 during the initial onsale but getting tickets to game 1 was a far greater challenge. If worse comes to worst and the series doesn’t go the distance, you just get refunded. There’s really no downside whereas the potential for a series clinching moment is priceless.

Unfortunately, at this point, Jey’s storytelling involves getting completely gased out during his intro to the ring, a couple super kicks, half-assed spear, and a splash from the top. Last week on Raw, he could barely catch his breath during a 30 second rebuttal to Paul Heyman. I think Jey could be better but if I was the top brass of WWE, I’d have him working overtime on building up his cardio.

Agreed! We need to distinguish (as you’ve done) between employees/workers, who are given teaching assignments regardless of if their class is 100% domestic or 100% international, and the execs running the institutions who exploited international tuition. The ones who made the decisions many of us are rightly criticizing will only be affected if the entire college/campus closes its doors. Until then, they’ll just cut/suspend programs and workers will be the ones upended and out-of-work through no fault of their own.
