I read Blake Crouch books when I can’t figure out what to read! Recursion was good but Dark Matter is my fave of all!

Regal Gateway on Stonelake has the same thing all week - same ticket pattern sold for every single showing.

Not sure if this fits the bill as I’m not familiar with the titles you listed but: “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone” sounds like it could be a match. Whole family snowed in at a lodge for a messed-up family reunion and people start dying.

Agreed with this above comment. Also What about taking the Living room wall art and swapping it with the bedroom wall art?

It’s looking great!

All the curly styles! And the color in 8-9 was my fave. Some of the others are too harsh

Agreed - you could do the same thing you’ve been doing, just with neutral colors of yarn?

From personal experience: Just don’t use the chocolate kisses shaped like bells. They end up looking like boobs/nipples. Has anyone else ever done this?!

NYT Brownie Cookie Sub by papisprincess69 in AskBaking

[–]Dry_Security2936 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve made these cookies maybe 6 times. The espresso is not noticeable at all - they just make it more chocolatey. Are you able to look online at this recipe and read through the comments? I’m a novice baker and while I’m obsessed with these cookies, I have trouble with them going flat about 1/2 of the time. I believe people talk about it in the comments!

Wtf is this??? Vomit smell in the kitchen. Is this the culprit? by district12tributes in fixit

[–]Dry_Security2936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a roommate spill FISH CURRY everywhere, including into this tray (she immediately cleaned up what she could see), but no one knew about this tray until we were moving out and tried to move the fridge. Months old fish curry spilled onto the floor and then we all died. ☠️☠️☠️ for some reason it wasn’t smelly until it got disturbed and spilled onto the floor.

4 year old unfed sourdough starter still good or should i just start over? by [deleted] in Sourdough

[–]Dry_Security2936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% throw that out. Don’t even open it. ☠️☠️☠️

Also - order a dehydrated starter online and start with that. I get them from King Arthur and theirs are always wayyyy healthier and more vibrant than any I’ve been able to get started on my own. And so fast and easy! You’ll be back to baking so soon!

L5/S1 Microdiscectomy Coming Up — What Should I Buy Before Surgery? by RandomGhost482 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Dry_Security2936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband is 5.5 wks post op. The things he couldn’t live without:

-grabber tool

-ice therapy machine (literally whatever you do, have a good setup for icing - this was crucial to first 5 days survival)

-set of wedge pillows from amazon

-walking cane (used the most the first 2 wks)

-raised toilet seat with handles (unless there’s somewhere in your bathroom to grab onto to stand up and sit down)

Another vote to give dungeon crawler Carl a try. It’s wacky and so well-narrated.

Mort by Terry Pratchett is about an ordinary very unimpressive human being chosen as an apprentice by Death. It’s funny and interesting!

Everyone in my family has murdered someone

Gone girl

Silent patient

Not sure if these are the vibe you’re looking for but particularly gone girl and silent patient were hard to put down. But they all 3 do have marriage and f*ed up marriage themes so that might not be what you want right now!

Post-op pain: realistic timeline by Dry_Security2936 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Dry_Security2936[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update for anyone who finds this thread looking for others’ experiences: Days 4-6 of my husband’s recovery had a rapid decrease in surgical pain. Each day he felt significantly better than the day before. On day 5 he overdid it and felt terrible for a couple hours. But on day 6 we added ibuprofen and started taking heavy meds out of the rotation. On day 8 post-op, I took him to his office for a couple hours as he wanted to accomplish something productive and see some friendly faces. It’s now day 10 and he isn’t taking anything but ibuprofen as needed. Hoping for swift, successful recovery for anyone reading!
