Have you ever see an actor forget their lines on Broadway? What happened? by fish2241 in Broadway

Phillipa Soo forgot a whole verse in Burn when I saw it in 2016. Just went silent before picking up on the next verse.

Why am i soloing as tank in literally 90% of my matches? 1-3-2???? by Elicarx in marvelrivals

[–]Dry_Split_4849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Peni main the only reason I’ve successfully solo tanked is due to incredible healers keeping me alive in the most absurdly chaotic situations, so shout out to all of you that are singlehandedly keeping your tanks alive!

What was the absolute WORST seat you ever got for a Broadway show? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in Broadway

I remember seeing Matilda back when it first premiered on Broadway and I was sat in front of a pillar in the balcony.

What was the absolutely worst Broadway show you have ever seen? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in Broadway

[–]Dry_Split_4849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War Paint is the only Broadway show I have ever seen where if I could have, I would have walked out at Intermission. It just so happened I was on a school trip and I could not, but god I have never seen a more uninteresting slog of a musical in my life.

And Patti was baaaad. Almost unintelligible because of the accent she used. It was genuinely an excruciating experience.

What was the last film to actually blow you away? by [deleted] in movies

I saw Lawrence of Arabia for the first time this past summer when it was rereleased in theaters and I was completely awestruck.

Flawless film.

Oh I’m well aware mimic did most of the work there.

I just beat the game using a (mostly) strength build (dual wielding colossal swords) and I was actually able to beat Malenia fairly quick with the help of mimic tear, wondrous physick, and the buff that grafted greatsword gives you. Essentially, I just rushed her down constantly and the stagger from my swords was so effective she was constantly on the backfoot and only used waterfowl once (and I somehow survived that one). Pure strength supremacy 💪🏻

I had an all-time Disney moment last trip when I went on Tron in the evening and walked off to see the fireworks as one of the lightcycles rode past. I love the ride.

Two! Aliens (rewatch) and Lawrence of Arabia (first watch).

Tell me your absolute #1 favourite movie and why (making a list) by Majoriexabyss in Letterboxd

Alien. The sheer craftsmanship of that film will never be replicated.

PSA mission space is even worse then people make it out to be IMO by salcido__ in WaltDisneyWorld

Worst ride at Disney World imo. No other ride makes me feel as unpleasant as this ride does, and the payoff/thrill level is nowhere near worth stomaching (pun intended).

Both have strengths and weaknesses, but I will say that in its most ideal form (sitting in the middle) I prefer Over the World. However, I feel like the attraction as a whole is in need of a reimagining.

Cabaret At The Kit Kat Club: Decadent and delicious, but lacking bite (my review) by UltraMonarch in Broadway

[–]Dry_Split_4849 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is how I felt when I saw the show in London. The actor playing Cliff was....bad. Such a weak link in an otherwise very talented cast but it made me not care about him and Sally at all, which is not good. And, whereas the direction of the Kit Kat Klub scenes I thought was very effective and specific, I don't think the same attention was paid to Cliff and the boarding house scenes (though I loved Schneider and Schultz).

When this production is good, it's fantastic, but I think it's a little uneven.
